After being struck by a micrometeorite of unknown composition, Iowa resident Henry 'Hal' Kent woke up to find strange bracelets bonded to his wrists. When he concentrated on the bracelets, his clothes melted away revealing a strange uniform that fit like a second skin. He also found himself able to fly and generate heat from his hands and body. Having always wanted to help people and now finding himself able to, he took the name Captain Constellation due to the strange symbol on his uniform mask and joined the growing ranks of heroes in Millennium City.
