Overview

The ACRP-BAETYLUS-01 unit was created by Ardacorp in an attempt to produce an intelligent non-organic sentient being, for the termination of White-Glint. The result was a mobile weapons platform with an AI capable of learning and mimicking human speech patterns to perfection, thanks to a high-quality integrated speaker system.

Baetylus comes equipped with a small arsenal: a 20mm variable bullet feed autocannon, fixed to its right arm; a long range flamethrower upon its left arm; a kendrium-questionite alloy saw blade, fixed to its left arm alongside the flamer; and a small scatter missile launcher, built into the flamethrower module as an extra barrel. Aside from this, the unit also implements Ardacorp's classic "Relocation System", which allows Baetylus to teleport itself to desired locations in fairly rapid succession.

As a defense mechanism, the unit comes with a legion of maintenance nanobots, stored within a specialised chamber located inside its torso section. The machines can be launched, and will swiftly crawl across Baetylus to any damaged areas in order to repair them at alarming speeds.

The entire unit is covered in kendrium-titanium-tungsten alloy armour plating. The tungsten was incorporated for a heightened heat resistance, due to the nature of the primary target.

Personality

Despite the fact that Baetylus was created for destruction, it can be incredibly social. One can easily relate to the machine, due to its very human-like voice; It speaks with the voice of an American male in his twenties, and normally holds a very calm and layed-back tone.

Baetylus doesn't hold any level of hatred for anyone, unless they personally wrong it for no good reason. The same goes for any current targets it might have; when questioned about them, the unit often states that it has nothing personal against them.
