In April of 2008, Eva purchased a building in City Center and opened up a bookstore/antique shop called Something Borrowed. She lives in one of the apartments above the shop and has recently rented out the other apartment to one of her Charges that needed a place to stay. The shop specializes in finding old or rare books and has one of the best children’s reading programs in the city. Eva runs a weekly Story Hour for children and sponsor’s a Teen Reading Program through the local high schools.
