History

Father

Shinichi Ueda is a successful business man who was born in Kyoto, Japan but moved with his family to Los Angeles at a young age. He knows of his wife's dreams and her methods of pushing their daughter towards them, but remains out of the whole affair, supposing that his wife would never intentionally harm their daughter, and that their daughter is talented enough to survive the occasional mistake.

Despite his complacence in his wife's ninja fantasies Shinichi is a loving father and an excellent provider, and remains very close with Meyumi.

Mother

Kazumi Uchida dreamed of being a ninja princess from her earliest days, and was disappointed over and over again as her best plans failed to bring her the excitement and adventure she was certain she deserved. After moving to America and having a daughter, Kazumi began to push her daughter towards those same dreams in a manner some might refer to as "crazy", although she never put her daughter in any immediate harm, (bombs are only dangerous if you aren't paying attention, after all).

Despite her apparent insanity and overbearing motherly pushiness, Meyumi and her mother are very close.

Powers

None - She is trained in a sloppy form of Ninjitsu, focusing on hand to hand fighting and some minor swordsmanship. Still, she is a gifted athelete and shows a great deal of natural talent in the martial arts that has allowied her to pick the more useful stuff out of her previous training and adapt it to various situations.

Nickname

The name Ninja Grrl was taken up during her initial phases of ninjutsu training, when everyone was expected to assign themselves a "code name". Meyumi gave herself this name as a joke, and was horrified to see that it had stuck. She was even more horrified to learn that after being signed up for Halcyon Academy and registered as a hero, her mother had registered her under that name.

When introducing herself, it is always as Meyumi, although if pressed she won't keep her 'hero name' a secret.

Affiliations

Meyumi was originally taught ninjutsu at Happy Tanuki's Junior School of Ninjutsu and VCR Repair, and graduated both the middle school and freshman year grades with honors. She is currently a student at Halcyon Academy and a member of The HAND, The Halcyon Academy Ninja Division.

The HAND

Meyumi is a founding member of The Halcyon Academy Ninja Division, and one of the only members in it with absolutely no powers besides her natural athleticism and fighting skills (skillz?).
