[hide]Brief History:
Adrianna Faucher was the daughter of a knight from the medieval ages France, who greatly desired to follow her father's footsteps and become a mighty warrior herself. Unfortunately this was a time when women were not allowed to be knighted, let alone fight in wars, and she shuddered the thought to merely end up living as a meager housewife. Adrianna thought perhaps if she was stronger, more capable then she could show those men that she was worthy. Rumor spread of a witch deep in the forests outside the borders of the kingdom, and she had a dangerous idea that perhaps magic may be her answer. Thus, she snuck out to venture in those woods one fateful night to find this witch and offer her payment in silver for a spell to grant her the strength she sought.
When she found the witch she was looking for, an elderly robed woman who cackled ominously, her bravery was tested but she was adamant in fulfilling her quest. Adrianna asked the witch for strength and power in return for pieces of silver. The witch gladly accepted the trade, quite amused that the woman would seek her out alone at night in the woods, for the witch's intentions were very malevolent. The witch offered her a vial of sanguine liquid, and said it was a potion to gift her the power she asked for. The fluid was thick, tasted bitter and metallic, Adrianna blanched and gagged after drinking the vile potion, but began to feel weakened, fatigued. She lowed to her knees and felt the cold of the night flood her body as the warmth left it. The witch cackled horribly, and added there was also a terrible price.
Adrianna had attained the strength and power she asked for, however it came in an undesired, unpredicted state of being. She was turned into a vampire! And one of a hideous nature. Her hair began to fall out as days passed, her once considerably beautiful complexion now turned pale and gaunt. And the thirst, the insatiable hunger gnawed at her so powerfully. But she would not give up on her quest, no. She was going to be a knight, one way or another. She travelled across Europe leaving blood and despair in her wake. A fearsome warrior she was, without a lord or king to serve nor a calling other than for battle and bloodshed. In Germany, they called her Menschenfresser, "Man Eater", and this title she adopted with sinister pride. She would eventually slumber deep within a cave in a mountain, resting in her coffin to hibernate for a few centuries. She awoke seventeen years before the present time, and even though the world has changed quite drastically, her lust for battle has not subsided. And now there were these "Superheroes", finally worthy opponents to engage in glorious battle!
