Backstory

Rayleigh comes from the planet Autania. Autania resembles Earth in it's terrain, but less water and vastly larger.
Rayleigh's family, The Steelmark's is a noble family in Autania and is why Rayleigh is often referred to as Lord among his crew.
Rayleigh always aspired to join the army and reach the top of the ranks. With the influence from his family, most notably his father who was a commander in the army, and Rayleigh's own skill, he quickly climbed up the ranks, becoming Lieutenant commander of his fathers division. Rayleigh's father died while on a mission, the division were residing on a planet packed with all kinds of resources, when a large humanoid beast went rampant around their camp, the crew tried fending it off, but it was all in vain. His father suffered a fatal blow from the beast and Rayleigh went in a state of grief and rage, recklessly attacking the beast only to get blown away by it's tremendous strength. Luckily The only permanent injury Rayleigh suffered was blindness on his one eye. A couple of months passing after the incident, Rayleigh was named the new commander and now commands The Mercy Division

Current Events

Rayleigh and his division recently arrived at Earths solar system, taking a small break while they reside down at Earth.
Exploring Earth, Rayleigh has met quite a few people, one of them being Laeus, the emperor of the Eetrayan People.

The Division

The Mercy division's purpose is to scout the universe and gather intel on unique materials and creatures and report it back to Autania. The top priority at the moment is to gather Questionite, a very rare material known for it's durability and sharpness. Currently they've only gathered enough Questionite to forge a sword, used by Rayleigh.
