Overview
Very little is known about these strange insect invaders, though it has been jokingly asserted that they should get in touch with Orkin for their next round of "strangers in the neighborhood" advertising. What is known and surmised can be summed up by this report by Julia Zuma P.H.D.

Conclusion
While these insectoids resemble Qularr in many ways they are definitively not Qularr. The likenesses in appearance are likely due to morphological synchopathy. Morphological synchopathy is the idea that if nature creates a biological function once, any new recreation of that ability or function will be similar in appearance. They are obviously dangerous, though at this point not one single hero other than Gene Damage has been attacked. Evidence and Samples

This organization may be used by anyone that wants to have Insectoids as nemesis henchmen. They are also an Amalgam 937 mutation which is essentially an RP hook to create a "gamma family" of mutates within the Champions Online environment. The Swarm exists on some level as a trope, and cannot really be negated; barring a great story that involves a fair segment of the community.
