Background

Very little is known about the operative known as Agent Sidestep.

The following information has been acquired from observations:

Agent Sidestep has appeared in Millennium City not long after the highly publicized first appearance of Galatea Future. Observers believe that he was conversing with unknown forces, including a computer system identified as PROPHET.

Although he was seen conversing with Doctor Silverback, the sentient simian has no memory of this conversation.

He was later observed engaging Galatea Future in battle. Little is known about the confrontation, although the security footage showed that after a quick discussion, he clearly showed superior skills and was able to best Galatea before ceasing his attack and disappearing.

In January of 2012, the Agent made his existence known to Galatea again, this time to aid her in fighting the legal mechanizations of Markman Gold. It was his use of the PROPHET system that provided the course of action for Galatea to take.

Powers and Abilities

Dimensional Shifting

Agent Sidestep is able to engage in dimensional shifting, which allows him to teleport at various points in local space. It is believed that he also can use this power to teleport on a larger scale. It is believed he can use this power to conceal himself as well as teleport to other universes.

According to Galatea, Sidestep could also use this power as a weapon to create spacial disturbances to cause physical damage.

PROPHET System

PROPHET is a sentient computer system that supposedly aids Agent Sidestep in his investigations. It is unknown where or how this system operates, but it was credited in abruptly ending the confrontation between Sidestep and Galatea.

Other Technology

Agent Sidestep was seen with several devices on his body, some of which allowed him to engage in intense scanning and containment, as well as being able to communicate using extra-normal means.
