Without any real formal parenting, Stag is quite selfish, immature, and childlike. He prefers things to be much more simple; conflicts as black or white, meat uncooked, travelling by foot instead of by plane, and so forth. One can't really place too much blame on him, as there is an aspect of innocence and undeveloped responsibility within him. | Without any real formal parenting, Stag is quite selfish, immature, and childlike. Flame-Stag is a Canadian hero of somewhat uncertain origin. Apparently human and raised in a Bigfoot tribe, Flame-Stag's ability to throw powerful, burning punches suggests that there is more to this young man than meets the eye.

Origins
Upbringing
In the early 90's, a while before the Bigfoot tribes had properly been discovered in Canada, Chiyetah gatherers came upon a most unusual sight. Alone, laying in the snow, naked, was a baby boy, with eyes that glowed like embers and bright orange hair. Though without any source of warmth, the baby remained alive and healthy, crying loudly until it was found by the tribe gatherers. The tribe decided to take in this unusual child and bestowed him the name of Flame-Stag.
Initially, the tribe raised Flame-Stag as a gatherer, since the tribesmen who had found him were of the same trade. It was on one gathering trip, however, Flame-Stag and the other gatherers came under attack by a bear. Though he was only a young child of 5 years old at the time, Flame-stag's blows were enough to cause the bear to flee. Having witnessed such a feat from a hairless human child of such young age, the tribesmen decided to redetermine their judgement of the child. Instead, Flame-Stag would be trained to be a firestarter, hunter, and warrior. When he came to age, he would be responsible for keeping the small tribe safe from outside attackers.
The most unusual aspect of Flame-Stag was the means by which his punches and kicks seemed to fly. As he swung, some sort of inner-flame seemed to burst from within, setting the hand aflame for a split-second. In this way, Flame-Stag was not particularly imposing on the physical side, nor was he spectacularly strong. When it came to battle, however, he fought alongside his larger brothers just as zealously and just as effectively.
The great northern demon
As Stag came to the age of 16 years, the Chiyetah tribe began to face attacks from the Tsiataka Bigfoot tribe. Though most of the population of the Chiyetah were peaceful, Flame-Stag and the couple other Bigfoot warriors that helped him were enough to keep the invaders at bay. How long would the tribe hold out, though? Even as the Stag fought off the assailants, they seemed to just keep coming as strong as ever, wave after wave. Though Flame-Stag was perfectly content consistently bashing in enemy bigfoot skulls, the village Chief began to suspect something of much more sinister nature was behind this.Eventually, the village mystic, Talks-To-Spirits had a disturbing vision; the northern demon Kigatilik had returned from the frost tomb and his magic had corrupted the area north of the humble village, calling forth icy demons and even having adverse effects on the members of the Tsiataka. The tribe decided to call council on this information to decide what action to take. However, young Flame-Stag was not one to wait for wise men to deliberate. Knowledgeable of his unearthly power of flaming fists, Stag proclaimed that he, alone, would stand up to the demon of the north; the burning fire in his soul would befittingly pierce the freezing cold that was Kigatilik.
Flame-Stag fought his way north, warding off the lesser demons with his powers alone. Though assailed by hundreds of the demons in waves, Stag was not slowing down, and soon had gotten to the foot of Kigatilik's dark temple. Compared to his lesser thralls, however, the great demon was too mighty for Stag to fight, and he slowly toyed with the youth, slowly freezing him and watching him squirm helplessly. However, this left him vulnerable to attack from other heroes, who were able to keep Kigatilik distracted for long enough to rescue Stag. Though the heroes responsible for the rescue did not know the origins of the child, they decided to take him back to Force-Station Steelhead to determine his motives for trying to stand up to such a force on his own.
Flame-Stag had no knowledge of the English language, having spoken the Bigfoot language his whole life. The personnel at Steelhead weren't able to get much out of Stag, but in his mind, it was quite clear he had failed to defeat the demon. He, the best that the Chiyetah had to offer, was not enough to singlehandedly bring down the demon. It was a moment of utter shame; he could never show his face back at home ever again! Now what would he do?
Steelhead made a decision to hold the child captive and send out a notice for somebody to attempt to retrieve the boy. This didn't go well, as Stag was held in a sub-optimal cell, which he quickly broke out of. For the following years, Stag was on the run, and subsisted on petty thievery around the station to get by.
Integration
Stag's petty crimes continued until The Constable was called to Steelhead. His ability to communicate with spirits proved to somehow be very effective at tracking down Stag. Not only this, but Constable was able to directly speak to Stag. Was Stag himself some sort of ghost? In any case, Constable's communication proved to be very effective, as it bypassed language barriers. Telling Stag to show himself, he agreed to be taken into captivity and learn the ways of the humans. It was clear to him, by his appearance at least, that this was where he would belong.
Within his two years at Force Station Steelhead, Stag managed to get a basic grasp on the English language, and has made good friends with some of the local Canadian heroes. Soon, he was urged to put his expertise to use in other areas of the world, starting with the metropolis of Millennium City to the south. Stag, seeing this as an opportunity to hone his knowledge of combat to perfection, would agree to the advice. With time, he hopes he can soon return to his tribe as a hero, using his newly-found skills to properly defend his foster home village.

Traditionally uneducated and having a strenuous grasp on language, Flame-Stag strikes most people as, at best, quite naive, and at worst somewhat mentally challenged. However, Stag is very proficient in his tactics pertaining to hunting, stealth, and fighting. Particularly, he's rather hot-headed when a battle doesn't go his way, and otherwise is highly curious towards novel situations. He does seem to understand the language barrier that stands between him and other heroes, and as a result, can tend to be quite quiet around others.
Combat Specifications
Flame-Stag, though not herculean, is extremely fit. Capable of running at 43 miles per hour and jumping 14 feet into the air, Stag is a natural athlete. He can lift roughly 340 pounds and can keep up a good jog for days before he gets tired.Despite not having a standard education, Stag is proficient in Unarmed Combat. Using a variety of tightly-controlled punches and kicks, Stag certainly knows how to use sweeps and jabs effectively to trip up and wear down enemies. Particularly impressive is his jabbing speed; Stag can throw out punches that travel at a speed of 283 miles per hour, and has been seen throwing out barrages of around 52 punches per second.
Stag is made all the more dangerous by the fact his blows seem to glow with a Spiritual Flame. In cases where he is throwing blows fast enough or he is sufficiently enraged, Stag's punches have been shown to glow with a reddish-orange fiery aura. In addition to blunt force, the aura seems to give the punches extra damaging properties, capable of melting solids and scalding bare flesh. This technique seems to play a part in Stag's 'marking'; where he will use his powers to brand defeated enemies with a palm-print.
Stag doesn't formally use any armor when fighting. While this generally does make him vulnerable to taking damage, it frees him up in his abilities to move. His movement is absolutely paramount to his fighting style, and his slim and limber build allows him to climb upon enemies, avoid attacks, and strike from unusual angles. Stag's agility certainly has its limits, however, and if rooted down, he doesn't last long.
Otherstuff
- The 14th 40. He was based exclusively off of using 'Burning Chi Fist + Shadow Reverberation' to provide reliable energy.
- Stag's basic body build is an adjustment of Chisoku's. Most of the differences are in slight height adjustments and facial structure.
- Flame-Stag's outfit has remained entirely unchanged from its initial design.
