With a scathing attitude and cynical outlook, it comes as a surprise to many that Seer was educated at a school for aspiring heroes - The Ultimate Guardians Academy. She doesn't, at first, seem like much of a team player, and appears to go out of her way to keep others at arm's length. Even the very limited number of "friends" she has made, she is highly reluctant to allow herself to get close to, and barely restrains herself from administering a dose of snark when she feels they deserve it.

Cassie isn't entirely sure that heroics are the right path for her, and readily admits she only agreed to attend the Academy in order to learn to control her abilities - something she has great trouble with. She often over-taxes herself, or reacts to situations she finds herself in both instinctively and unexpectedly with her powers. Slowly, however, she is beginning to understand the nature of her condition, and is learning to make sense of the strange entities that only she seems able to see...
