Yana was raised, educated and trained since her childhood by a secret organization named Ostatki (The Remnants) along with many other genetically fit children like her.
The children were heavily trained during their entire life in a wide variety of abilities to become elite soldiers. At the age of 18, they were injected with a bio-engineered serum that was being developed since the Cold War Era. This serum had the objective of enhancing the soldiers' effectiveness in the battlefield by improving their physiological functions.
Even though the subjects were injected yearly with underdoses of the serum since their childhood to prevent immunological reactions, many soldiers died after receiving the full dose.
Only 6 survived, including Vorona. These super soldiers were sent to different nations around the world to destabilize them, making them more vulnerable for Soyuz to take them over and install a new world order.
