According to the Dogma of Equivalent Exchange, John is considered the strongest man in the entire human race.

After his titanic battle against Loyce Hal, in which the Inner Shadow crippled the Demon King by reducing his overall power by 33%, John retired from his duties as an Inner Shadow due to his extensive injuries. However, Crassman remains temporarily stationed in Trion to keep the people of the Champions Universe safe from the Vessels of Vala.
