Zephere is the manifested shadow of a powerful sorceress who passed away. Unable to pass the shadow to someone else upon her death, the shadow of the sorceress was forced to manifest into Zephere. Somewhat unable to feel good emotions, Zephere is almost always sad.

The Backstory

The early times

"Come forth my shadow...And drown them in darkness!" -Morag Darkklaw.

Zephere began her life as the shadow of dark sorceress Morag Darkklaw. Upon enduring multiple defeats, Morag had to think of a way to beat her adversaries. She knew what she needed: A companion, a minion that would be powerful enough to take on these adversaries on his or her own. So, during nighttime, Morag returned to her sanctum and took her dark magic book off the shelf and began to read it for any spells with which she could accomplish her goal. In the end, she stumbled upon the "viventes umbra" spell: The spell which would make her shadow sentient. Later that night, Morag got all the needed fluff to perform the spell.

Everything went according to plan: Using a cluster of candles, she projected her shadow on the wall. Then, after turning around to see her shadow on the wall, she began manipulating the shadow. At first she thought it didn't work, but then she saw that at one point, the shadow didn't move along with her any longer. Then, when she stopped with using her dark magic, she gave the now sentient shadow the name it still uses today...
