In Her Own Words

It was just an eyeball. No one wanted it. The All-father was furious. I could tell because he didn't act angry, but after asking about it. He said little else to me until he locked me away with the rebellious Valkyrja. Even with my raven brothers and sisters telling me about the outside world, I had no idea it would be like this. I stay at UNTIL until ... well, until they throw me out, I guess. As a raven, I could roost anywhere, but now I need a place for 'things', like phone chargers, and clothing.

When I escaped from Odin's prison, I found my kin had all but forgotten me, but I've enjoyed catching up with them, even the crows. Sadly, I have not heard from honored Munin and Hugin since my escape, but I will find them.

UNTIL INTELLIGENCE ASSESSMENT

Valravn was discovered with Valkyrja after an incident in Norway between a group of Vampires and Campers on holiday at what the locals called Raven's Mound. When an UNTIL investigative team arrived with a combat support team from the Oslo field station, Two of the Campers, Arvid and Eva Auber of Masi, Norway were dead from Vampire attacks. One of the campers, an Hed Berdahl, who claimed to have recited a charm he found cared on a stone and released Valravn and Valkyrja, who proceeded to destroy the vampires, in gratitude for their freedom. After a connection to Oslo allowed for translation from Old Norse, the team learned that the Mound was actually a carin, and had been holding themselves and up to a dozen other 'Valkyrja' -- primordial demons of battle who served Odin before pressures from the encroachment of Christianity caused the Aesir to transform the demons into the Shield Maiden Valkyries that most people are familiar with. Those Valkyrja who rejected the transformation were imprisoned by Odin, and only a stolen charm enabled Valravn to teach the raven's outside to carve the charm into stones around the cairn.
