This is a work in progress. Input may be appreciated. Depends on my mood.

Hi! I'm Zach! I've been a Champions Online player off and on for about a decade I think. I've lost count. For the longest time I was not a lifetime subscriber. I've recently broken down and given in and paid my lifetime dues. A lot of back payments in that. I've simply gotten so much out of Champions Online over the years, when I could afford to do it I said what the heck. Now Murphy's Law dictates now that I've done this, it's only a matter of time before the impossible happens and Champions Online is suddenly no more. If that happens, I guess I've still gotten my money's worth out of it, even if I didn't pay for my money's worth until just this year. I do hope it stays up and running until long after I'm dead and buried, but life goes on. Many of my characters started as archetypes but now that I'm a lifetime subscriber i'm slowly bringing most of them into the Freeform Gold platform. It's just so time consuming trying to get them just right in the Power House and invariably I screw up. Probably should just stick to the archetypes. Unlike most players, I'm not completely against the idea of archetypes. Tho it seems silly to limit myself now that I've paid for the privilege to go freeform.

I used to frequent City of Heroes before this game. I spent a lot of time (and too much money it turned out) on Marvel's attempt at something like this which felt more like Diablo Lite than a MMORPG. (Yes I'm aware of Marvel's history with what later became Champions but they bailed so let's not dwell) Also I was addicted to DC Universe Online for a year or two but last time I went in there, so much had changed and my character's hideout looked more like a junk yard. I just can't bring myself to go back. However, I keep coming back to Champions Online. I can't explain why. The more I explore this game the more I realize how little I know about it and how terrible I am at playing it. I have a few 40s now, but they're not geared to the max and they still die a lot. I'm more about being a bit of an altaholic than a power gamer. I can't run circles around Shadow Destroyer or wow anyone with my role playing prowess, but I do love this game and I hope to bring my own little bit of whimsy and silliness to the Primus Database Project. I have all these characters in my head and I guess you could say I roleplay them, but my approach to roleplay is rather light hearted and tongue in cheek. I may upset hardcore participants who are into full immersion and I probably also freak out the straights who are only in this game to sell stuff and max out their stats or whatever the kids are calling it these days. I like to imagine these characters I've developed are an integral part of the ongoing lore of Champions Online, and hope to explore in here how and where they fit, without adversely affecting other people's approach to what they believe to be canonical about Champions Online versus what they find apocryphal.

The game doesn't easily allow me to do this, but I imagine all the characters I've created inside the game to be a supergroup of their own. Sort of a ragtag family of choice. If there's a lead to my brood it is of course my namesake: ZachsMind. He's the patriarch of the group. He owns and operates the moon base upon which the rest of the group centralizes their operations. I imagine beyond the doorways in the moon base which we can't actually explore in game, there's endless corridors where each character has their own apartment and they interact with one another. I don't bother exploring the details. That would be weird. Still, they get along well for the most part and are a kind of "super group" for lack of a better term. I affectionately refer to them as my Slack Patrol. Zach is kind of their "Chief" in a way. Their Robin. Their Iron Man. Slack Patrol is a sort of a cross between the Doom Patrol, Teen Titans, The Outsiders, The Avengers, The Defenders, X-Men, Justice League (International) or Society, Trenchcoat Brigade, Watchmen, All-Star Squadron, and pretty much every other vigilante oriented team that's ever existed in pulp fiction. They don't really have much in common, other than they all know each other and know Zach and he's given them a place to stay when they're not out doing alerts or patrolling the city. Ironically only one of them is out and about at a time in game. While I'm playing one of them, I like to imagine the others are off on some mission together, or they're having a barbeque on the beaches of Monster Island, or maybe bobsledding and cross country skiing up in Canada. Below is a list of the current roster, in no particular order. I may or may not alphabetize it I haven't decided yet. I reserve the right to add to or delete from this list as it changes inside my game. If you happen to come across any of my brood, feel free to say hi. I'm not always very sociable in Champions Online but I'm trying to rectify that in the future.

Anyway. Enough about me. Hope to see you in game.
