Summary

Nobody ever imagined that a "slime girl" would make into high school, much less into one of the most prestigious colleges of Millennium City. Tulipe is a law student and a popular, charismatic A-rank hero, aspiring to someday become a Magistrate or simply make her way into the Champions. Regarded as cute, lovely and popular, she quickly earned her way into the good graces of her former humankin, showing that her genetic alteration didn't stop her from being Human. While born a Human, her powers eventually manifested and made her into a permanent, quasi-liquid state, a state that seems to be inevitable and impossible to revert. As such, she simply learned to live with it, and employ it to do crime-fighting. She is sponsored by White Star Enterprises, a company in the business of creating goods and tools for Heroes with special needs. She often can be seen in internet articles, small news on the newspaper, and other forms of media that cover the lives of Heroes.

Born in Paris, Tulipe lived in France for a part of her childhood. Once she was six, she woke up to find out that her entire body had turned into liquid, and that she was now lying in a puddle across the floor. At first, having thought she had been kidnapped, Tulipe's parents called the police, but once they arrived they managed to discover that the liquid mass lying on the bed was actually the young girl. With urgency, they flew to Millennium City, hoping to find in the prominent city a "cure" for whatever was happening to their daughter. A cure was never found, but with UNTIL's assistance they were able to give Tulipe at least some measure of help. The condition was discovered to be a mutation caused to Tulipe's DNA, caused by her meta-genes finally manifesting. The result was that her once Human cells became the pinkish mass that now made her body. No longer having any organs, bones or muscles to speak of, Tulipe had to go through quite a long period of supervised training under UNTIL to relearn how to properly utilize her body.

With the passing years, Tulipe managed to achieve that. Not only it but, she eventually found that her powers made her quite suitable for fighting crime. Refusing to see her condition as a bad thing, she worked hard to become a hero, and eventually was discovered by White Star Enterprises, who saw the potential in her strength. Offering to pay for her new special needs and studies, as well as a considerable salary, they asked her to represent them in crime-fighting. Acting under her own name, Tulipe would spend the next ten years growing from an aspiring hero into a genuine beacon of justice. She even managed to gain her own fanbase, which might have been drawn to her by either her looks, her fierceness when fighting crime, or by the fact that every now and then she'd wind up nude when doing crime-fighting. Or perhaps it may be all the flair she likes to occasionaly employ in such battles.

About Tulipe

Tulipe is generally friendly, charming, charismatic. She typically stands out as what amounts to a "popular school girl", easy to make friends and having a sharp and intelligent sense of humor. Despite her body, she's still very much Human in mind, and her mannerisms tend to show it. She smells like perfume and fruits, more often than not. She has a permanent sweet taste, like that of fruits, generally due to her largely vegetarian diet. Tulipe speaks with a French accent, due to being natural from France, so her words typically ends in breathy notes. With her playful personality and brave actions, she has made herself quite popular in Millennium City, working as a ranked hero and model when not busy studying. Her fans are typically able to see her videos on Herotube, where she regularly publishes drone filming from her actions, as well as the occasional video about cooking recipes or fashion advice. She is known to work for White Star Enterprise, acting as a sponsored hero. The company is dedicated to the business of creating goods, tools and other necessities for Heroes with special needs, such as Tulipe and her anti-moisture clothes, or her Replenishing Stars.

Born a regular Human, Tulipe acquired her unusual mutation at some point in her childhood, her cells suddenly collapsing into a liquid state that they never truly recovered from. Instead, with time and practice, she was able to make her form solid once more, even if not truly Human again. Driven by a strong sense of justice and kindness, Tulipe is the very image of what some heroes aspire to be. She's brave and dilligent, and often steps in to defend the oppressed or help her world when she can, and all that without making herself able to enjoy her life as a somewhat regular person. She's often found in clubs, bars and parties when not working, and is know to enjoy such activities. Tulipe can be a bit too proud at times, even capricious, when the wrong buttons are pushed on her. Despite her condition, she's very comfortable with herself, including with things that might have posed an issue to others. As such, she is open with things like intimacy and sexuality, and is occasionally found flirting in her off-hours, enjoying flings and such. One might wonder how she makes do with her body but, she claims to be entirely capable of entertaining herself with it. Altogether, she is the kind of woman that does not let her mutation get in the way of leading a normal life outside of work, and she's often seen doing most things Humans are known to do in their free time.

About Tulipe's Condition

Tulipe's body is divided between two different types of amoebic cells - permanent and temporary ones. The permanent mass, the one that truly composes her body and makes it look like the way it does, is a mass that contains most of her genetic information, much of her absorbed nutrients and consequently, most of her power. That mass is very difficult to permanently lose, nearly impervious to most forms of damage and also the amount that reponds faster, stronger, and more efficiently to her commands. Her temporary mass on the other hand, carries only a lessened version of such properties, and can typically be as easily lost as it is acquired. Acquiring it typically comes from having Tulipe absorb nearby liquids or consume great amounts of protein and glucose-based foods. By combining both types of cells, Tulipe is capable of great shapeshifting feats. She can change her size, strength, speed, as well as other aspects such as her own temperature, acid levels and hardness. By default, Tulipe's has a semi-solid state, as firm as a Human's but also penetrable once enough pressure is applied. She possesses no apparent organs, save for a floating orb that floats within her, close to her neck. Often mistaken by a weak spot, many enemies have destroyed that core only to find that it typically rebuilds much like any of her mass.

Due to her physical composition, Tulipe's body is exceptionally durable. Firearms, blades, fire, ice, poison, most of them barely manage to cause any lasting damage due to her body rapidly adapting to counter them. There are ways to damage her, but those generally require a very lasting and long effort, or an attrition battle of sorts. Typically, one can smash, rip apart, break, slice, fill Tulipe with holes, but she eventually tends to simply reform again. By adjusting her shape and her hardness, Tulipe can perform devastating feats of strength. Depending on the size she utilizes, she is able to alter her own physical strength and use it accordingly. Tulipe's typical shortcomings come from a great preference of hers towards melee combat. Since using her abilities in a ranged fashion can be imprecise and not always efficient, she has grown to prefer handling things from a very close range. In her Hero Uniform, she counts with four "Replenishing Stars", though said uniform often just winds up floating inside her when she changes her size. Those stars are small containers that can be opened, spilling its contents into Tulipe. The contents are a chemical product created by White Star Enterprises, and contain a hyper-nutritious mixture that can greatly improve Tulipe's capabilities until it is fully consumed. It also serves as a healing agent in times when she is too badly damaged, or incapacitated.

Her flesh is made of a kind of gelatin, although this is a rude way to say, her skin is humid or wet most of time, and others that touch her can feel a rather welcoming warmth in her body. More important, her scent, it resembles very much the smell of flowers, somewhat sweet, something caused by her largely vegetarian diet. She's able to keep her humanoid form most of time, though she can freely change her shape. When sleeping however, she tends to end up becoming a large, formless puddle, or when unconscious. Her "skin" automatically tries to absorb anything that may prove to be nutritious or useful to her body, so people that touch or are touched by her may end up feeling a soft rubbing at the part, as if her liquid tried to absorb them. Her diet is based mostly in proteins and glucose, as well as a few other specific things. The only protein-based food that she dislikes is meat, as eating it always make she feel somewhat sick due to reminding her of the feeling of melting a person. Her favorite foods are sweet ones, such as juices, fruits, vegetables, cakes and candies. Her body is shaped in a unique way, humanoid but with very different characteristics. Tulipe doesn’t have teeth or gum, only her tongue which has the same length of a human one, though the length can change depending on her needs.

Due to the nature of her powers, she's often recorded fighting foes of multiple types and sizes. Most of the time, she tends to fight them while in her regular size, but there have been at least a handful of occasions where she's been seen trading blows with building-sized monsters while having her own size matching their own. However, such massive transformations require quite a lot of water, so she has to take it either from a city's supply or from a large body of water, such as a lake or the ocean.

Weakness

Tulipe's weaknesses are difficult to discern, and largely unknown, but one person has publicly managed to find them a few times and effectively weaken or even defeat Tulipe. Her Arch-Nemesis, Doctor Faraday, has once shot a substance in her body that caused her mass to become unable to alter its shape and hardness, therefore reducing her to a puddle for quite a long while. While Tulipe has genetically adapted to resist the same substance ever since that battle, one may still perhaps try and consider other ways. Other than that, most that have defeated her or come close to do so, have had to rely on very grueling, long battles.
