Titan was born with his powers but it was The Battle of Detroit that made him the hero he is today. As a child he watched the news coverage of the destruction and wished that he were older so he could lend his powers to the fight. He vowed that when he grew up he would use all his might to protect the innocent and to see that nothing like that ever happened again. His powers continued to grow as he got older and at 18 he made his debut as Titan. For several years he was Tampa's resident hero and eventually earned quite a reputation as Florida's leading hero as well. He worked closely with the police, DEA and Primus; sometimes traveling to Miami or Vibora Bay to lend a hand with cases there. He even teamed up with Black Mask on a couple of occasions. When he single-handedly took down the Tampa Viper Nest he gained national acclaim and was featured in a "Hot Young Heroes to Watch" segment on SNN, a profile article in SuperWorld Magazine and earned a tryout with The Champions. He had just arrived in Millennium City when the Qularr Invasion started. His actions in not only the Invasion but also subsequent Crisis in Canada and the Southwest Desert propelled him to the upper echelon of Heroes. Since then as an Auxiliary Member of The Champions and an Associate Hero of UNTIL he has done everything he can to fulfill his Childhood Vow.
