Overview

The Bunker was the primary headquarters of the Liberators until 2013, and was an underground base built on Gull Island. The base possessed two hangars, a training center, a brig, office, barracks, command center and armory. It was built to provide shelter to the Liberators and serve as the nerve center of their operations, but failed to fulfill the former role, being invaded and subsequently destroyed by a group of rogue PRIMUS personnel led by Colonel Kibishi Kowai.

Sacking

The Bunker was invaded by Kibishi Kowai and his squad of rogue PRIMUS agents, who were looking for a extra-dimensional gunship from the far future that had been both temporally and dimensionally displaced. The gunship, belonging to a military called the DATA MISSING was in the posession of the Liberators, and its only surviving pilot, a woman known by the name 'Samantha Lykos' was seeking refuge from the United States and other factions that could have potentially seized both her and her ship. Despite the Liberators' best efforts, the gunship was located and Kowai's men stormed the bunker, laying siege to it with numerous heavy vehicles, explosives and battering rams. The gunship (codenamed: DATA MISSING ) was repaired in time and managed to light its engines, taking off from the Hangar and escaping into the air just before Kowai's men entered the hangar. Rocket Wolf, a half-human half-robot cyborg, betrayed Kowai and defected to the Liberators, using his onboard weaponry to fend off the intruders in order to buy enough time for the Liberators to board the Phoenix and escape.

The Hangar collapsed when explosives launched from Wolf's back smashed into the support structures, burying most of it in rubble and killing several soldiers. Wolfe and Kowai survived, but both would later on die in the continuing struggle to protect the DATA MISSING and return it to its rightful owners, the DATA MISSING .

The damage sustained by Kowai's attack was too great, and the Bunker was deemed too structurally unsound and dangerous to remain in for any period of time, let alone continued use as headquarters. The base was promptly evacuated without retrieving any possessions or equipment, and power was cut. Gull Island was marked as a dangerous site, and abandoned shortly after. The Liberators transferred their command site to Citadel.

Sometime in 2014, the base degraded and collapsed further, its former concrete entrance on the surface having imploded. The underground rooms were no longer accessible, and entire parts of the base had collapsed to such an extent that some of the underground chambers and what was left of the Hangar were now visible.

In 2016, the remains of the Bunker were cleared away and Gull Island was reconstructed and modified to house a new facility.
