Contingency Initiative Elimination Squad Four was an offense based team lead by Squad Leader Mirage to complete operations that range from assassination, assault, infantry, and war campaigns internally as well as externally for New Ulysses. The Squad consists of several members each with a unique skillset. All members are highly ranked in terms of destructive capability, and have been internationally targeted as infamous terrorists to the nation.

The Squad, along with its parent organization, was disbanded after a large number of its members were killed off by Black Legion Outer Shadow Yuyan Danny "The Transplant" Zheng.

Real Name: Matthew Lam (formerly, Matthew Vistara)

Codename: The Mirage (formerly, The Vision)

Description: According to the leader of the Contingency Initiative, Taras Pax, Mirage is the most complete and perfect operative to the organization. Cunning, intelligent, and extremely powerful, Mirage's combat potency is rated the highest, with very few people being able to match his fighting style, much less surpass it. Considered the Contingency Initiative's "Loki", Mirage's reputation is one of the major contributing factors to the fact that Squad Four has been considered the strongest squad in the organization.

Biography: Matthew Vistara was originally a Realmwatch Operative, serving under the Stormwatch Brigade under the codename Vision. Despite lacking the combat ability required for Realmwatch's operatives, Vistara compensated through his fierce work ethic and strategy planning as Stormwatch's tactician. Using his Dogma of Prophecy, Vision would frequently record his premonitions in a diary, for the team to assess during mission planning. In an effort to aim for Squad Leader of Stormwatch, Vistara struck up a rivalry with fellow operative Joseph "Guardian" Greziak. However, despite the amount of effort Vistara put into improving himself as an operative, all this would be shadowed by Greziak's incredible raw natural talent, popularity, and power, having inherited Vala's Strength, which vastly eclipsed Vistara's Dogma for Prophecy. It is unknown what the circumstances were, but it is said that on one fateful night, Vistara was involved in an incident which costed him his life. Dying and on the verge of death, Vistara was picked up by Taras Pax, and was recruited into the Contingency Initiative, in which his body was subjected to intense training beyond his physical limits. Unlocking two additional Dogma Levels, Vistara underwent a transformation, awakening his dormant talent not as a full frontal fighter as Greziak was, but rather a deceptive tactical combatant, Vistara abandoned his surname and changed his name to Matthew Lam, adopting the codename Mirage after his new fighting style. Working up the ranks, Matthew has now become one of Contingency Initiative's most dangerous operatives, with both his intellect as Vision and his strength as Mirage.

Real Name: Whitney Sonia Houndstooth

Codename: The Wendigo

Realmwatch Bounty: $1,600,000

Description: Whitney "Wendigo" Houndstooth is Squad Four's assassin, focused on infiltration, deception, and killing. Houndstooth's strength lies in her incredibly agility, having spent a life as a gymnast prior to working under Mirage, as well as her ability to seduce her victims, lowering their defenses before sending them to an early and gruesome death. Wendigo has been shown to be able to outmaneuver and outpace her targets even when they are armed, dodging bullets with ease, before pouncing on her prey. One of the most brutal and violent members of Squad Four, Houndstooth kills her victims by either absorbing their lifeforce, adding to her own and strengthening her body, or killing them outright with her incredibly sharp fangs, biting and tearing away at their flesh like a canine.

Our base instinct is to protect our loved ones even if it means compromising another, meaning the whole concept of trying to save both parties is a lie, an illusion. Codename: The Refractor

Description: Distraction and subterfuge. While Mirage's skillset is based off of redirection and confusion, Squad Four's Maika "Refractor" Nagumo takes this to the extreme. The mistress of mirrors and illusion, Maika is capable of redirecting light in a way so complex that not even the scientists of the Contingency Initiative have been able to understand the intricate illusions the Refractor has been able to pull off. Whether it is infiltrating a top secret enclosure, changing the environment of the world itself, depending on who Maika wants to be deceived, it could seem as if the victim is in a completely different world from reality. But to everybody else, the world could be moving forward as normal as if nothing ever happened.

Paired with her ability to completely warp and distort the world around her through the power of illusion, Maika's background in Japanese Kenjutsu and Ninjutsu has allowed her to be one of Squad Four's most trusted swordswomen.
