Silmeria, is the human manifestation of the spirit of the Valkyrie known as Silmeria. Her name is a derivation of Sinnora, the wife of Surt, who lies in Muspellheim. Being the youngest of the 3 Valkyrie sisters, she is characteristically the most rebellious one, showing a greater freedom of spirit than either of her sisters. As she witnesses how Odin treats humans, she decides to challenge his authority and allies herself with Brahms, the Lord of the Undead. Her rebellion caused her to be transmigrated by the Sovereign's Rite, with Lenneth being awakened. She ended up in the body of a human princess named Alicia, but the process malfunctioned, leaving her conscious within her host, and all her memories intact. Thus, like the souls of her sisters, her banishment here freed her to be manifested in a human form again.

History

Prior to her arrival in this dimension, Silmeria's soul resided in the body of the Princess of Dipan, Alicia, after placing the soul of Brahms inside the body of one of her Einherjar, Dylan, that being the reason for her transmigration. Therefore, she was present when Hrist destroyed Dipan under Odin's orders. Angered at the destruction, Silmeria tried to convince Alicia to fight Hrist. Taking up the challenge, Alicia (and therefore Silmeria) traveled the world searching for her, unaware that Hrist was planning a rebellion of her own.

Alicia, using the Ring of Nibelungen, arrived in Asgard just a few moments before Hrist confronted Odin. There was a brief conversation between the two sisters right before the confrontation.

Silmeria: "Hrist, what are you doing?!"

Hrist: "Alicia... or should I say Silmeria, now? Freya killed one of my Einherjar, Alric. I will not stand by and let them get away with this! You should leave this place now. I do not know what the end result of this battle will be."

Silmeria: "Hrist, let me come with you."

Hrist: "No. Secure yourself someplace safe, my sister. This may be my final battle. Farewell.... Silmeria."

After this exchange, Silmeria followed behind Hrist, but Hrist traveled much faster than Silmeria, so Alicia/Silmeria had only made it to the doors of Valhalla when Odin cast the spell to banish all 3 sisters. Before she was taken away, she heard Alicia thanking her for everything she had done for her.

Arrival in Millenium City/Post-invasion Activities

The spell cast upon them thrust them into this dimension. Due to the shift in energies, instead of sharing one body, each manifested in their own form. The forms were gifted with the powers, and longevity of a Goddess, but about equal to the stats of a regular human. The conversion not withstanding, all 3 consider themselves Valkyries still, and each retains a resurrection ability.

The 3 arrived during the Qularr invasion of Millenium City, and discovering their abilities, quickly rose to the challenge of defeat the Qularr swarms.

Silmeria devoted herself to training with her new skills, finding enhanced abilities with the bow. She travelled mainly the war-torn areas of the world, bringing to life those who were worthy and had fallen for a noble cause. This caused her to gain some renown for her revival abilities, instead of her battle skills.

Silmeria also has chosen not to work with UNITY, preferring to be free to act as she must, and not under the auspices or commands of anybody else.

Personality

Silmeria is a very headstrong individual, seeking to do that which she feels is beneficial to either her, or those who travel with her. Always rebellious, she has a problem working under another's leadership. She is always ready to champion the cause of an underdog, or those who fight against superior odds. This tendency often gets her into trouble.

Powers and Abilities

Silmeria, being a former Goddess, found many of her powers changed when she and her sisters came to this world. With the bow Shiny Rupture in her hands, she found that her natural skill and talent with it was unchanged, and so she decided to use it to battle evildoers. She also is capable of encasing herself in a whirling shield of blades, and of generating an immense protective shield to negate damage against her.

She retains the ability to revive a fallen ally, although they are no longer transformed into an Einherjar (a fallen soul chosen to fight for the Gods in Asgard at Ragnarok). She has the ability to generate a passive pulse of energy to heal herself, and is able to temporarily extend her physical abilities, letting her hit harder, and dodge better.

The bow she wields is a legendary bow named the Shiny Rupture. When she awoke in this dimension, she had this bow in her hands, leading her to believe that it was a parting gift from Alicia, who had previously possessed it.

Allies and Friends

Silmeria's Friends
Always having been a loner, Silmeria finds it difficult to make friends. She is close to her sisters, more so to Hrist than Lenneth. However, outside of her sisters, she has found a group to fight alongside, the same group her sisters are a part of. This group, named Blood Oathed Honor Bound is based off of honor and class system used in feudal Japan. Through Hrist, she made the same friends, among them being the cat-man named Panther, the mysterious swordsman named Kagewoe, the reckless swordsman named Requiem, the cranky geriatric superhero Granny Freedom, the enigmatic Kate, the shape-shifter Becca, and several others who contribute to her success in many of the battles they have faced together.

Her tendency to be considered of Chaotic Neutral alignment fits her personality, as she is known for doing whatever she needs to do to accomplish a task. She will not sacrifice one of her friends, but will also choose not to fight if she does not believe in the cause.

Former Existence as a Valkyrie

Spoiler Warning
The following details are about a player-created storyline, or is information currently unrevealed about a character.
Please do not use this information ICly unless given permission to do so.

Limited information has been given by Silmeria to her friends and allies about her prior existence. The reason behind this information is the actual mechanics of her previous shared existence are difficult to grasp. Not to mention that she was formerly a Goddess, a Chooser of the Slain.

The combined spirits of all 3 Valkyries would have created a powerful being, capable of challenging Odin on his own terms and defeating him. To prevent this, Odin decreed only one Valkyrie could be "awake", or embodied at any given time, and created the Sovereign's Rite to control this. As a result, there is only one body for the Valkyries to use, and each sister inhabited it in turn. The other 2 spirits were put to sleep as "souls" in mortal vessels. Whenever Odin decides that the time has come for another Valkyrie to take the current one's place (in the cases of the 3 sisters, each one rebelling against him), he performs the Sovereign's Rite: the current Valkyrie's soul is removed from its body and placed into a human vessel in a dormant state, while the soul of one of the two others takes its place. This is apparently also accompanied by placing a seal on the newly-awakened Valkyrie's memories of her sojourn within her human host, to prevent it from provoking unwelcome sympathy with humans and thus interfering with her duties.

Lenneth had been transmigrated to a human body after rebelling against Odin, with Silmeria to follow shortly. However, the Sovereign's Rite that sealed her inside Alicia was incomplete, therefore, she retains some of the knowledge of the situation in her home dimension.

The Sovereign's Rite is a magic thought lost to her original dimension. Being how the Valkyries exist in separate bodies, it may or may not cause them to rejoin into one, or if it would be powerless. As a result, all 3 sisters, harbor an intense dislike of sorcerers, since there may be some way that one of them could learn, or attempt the Sovereign's Rite.

Any sorcerer even attempting the Sovereign's Rite will immediately garner the hatred and anger of any Valkyrie present.
