Background

Aes'ahra was born on a planet far away from the Earth, and the Milky Way galaxy as a whole. While details of her childhood, her race, or the planet from which she came from are unclear, (Aes'ahra herself is very intent on keeping them so) there is much information out there that can be found by searching for it, or even just by talking to the reptilian alien directly.

The exact date is unknown, but Aes'ahra arrived on Earth some time in the year 2004. Aes'ahra landed in the Sahara desert, North Africa, and spent roughly a week contemplating what had happened and how she had got there - and once that had all cleared; what she was going to do now. Her ship was totally busted, and she had no clothes at all to her name. Aes'ahra left her wrecked ship, and set off for the nearest hint of civilization; something which she wouldn't find before another week of walking in one direction and hoping for the best. When she finally happened upon a small tribal village, the inhabitants were shocked to see her - a five-foot eight reptilian creature walking on two legs and with a full head of hair - and attacked her.

Even without proper equipment or weaponry to utilize, the fight was extremely one-sided in Aes'ahra's favor, perhaps owing somewhat to how stunned the locals were by what they were fighting. Regardless of the details, Aes'ahra successfully neutralized her attackers, though through what means she refuses to discuss. Gathering up an outfit and a spear, Aes'ahra continued on her expedition across the desert and eventually all of Africa, sticking to traveling under the cover of night.

After a year or so of exploration and barely managing to keep herself alive in the wilds, Aes'ahra made it to the coast of America by stowing away on a ship bound for the west coast. Once she arrived, she stuck to the same methods of survival that she had employed in Africa. Eventually, Aes'ahra managed to teach herself the native language (though she still struggles to pronounce some things) and overheard a news report on Millennium City and its inhabitants. Taken slightly off-guard by what she was hearing, she stumbled out of the shadows and into the open to get a look at the television's screen - directly in front of a passing police officer. Instantly, Aes'ahra was apprehended and taken to the local station, where she explained herself as best she could in her broken English. The officers eventually agreed to have her handed over to the MCPD, and so she was transferred.

Upon arrival in Millennium City, Aes'ahra was met by an odd-looking reptilian man much like herself. She knew instantly that he wasn't from the same planet as she; but it still put her mind at ease knowing that what she had heard about the city was true. After a lengthy stay in the station, Aes'ahra was released on one condition; that she join UNTIL under the supervision of a more veteran hero. The next year of Aes'ahra's life was full of nothing but training, and at the end of it she was rewarded with a power suit that would compliment her race's ability to manipulate the air temperature directly around themselves. Now able to fire off charges of plasma as a means of offense, Aes'ahra was quickly given the nickname "Siege" due to her ability to melt through solid matter.
