A former indy rock star, '''Rampage Red's''' life was changed forever after she discovered a bizzare alien weapon. Now armed with it, she fights bad guys in the name of rocking out and having a good time

Erika Redmond was born to a lower class family in some place or another. It's largely irrelevant; you don't need to hear about her boring lower-class childhood, her drop-out education or her juvenile record for setting fire to a Multi-Function Polis (it had it coming!). Really, nothing interesting happened until she dropped out of high school for the last time and met several other rejects outside family court that things got actually interesting for her, and where you should actually start paying attention.
+

+
The five of them (the numbers vary depending on the retelling and how drunk they are at the time) found a common love of the underground indy-rock scene, and a degree of musical talent between them (albeit not that much, but enough to scrape by). They collectively decided that they should form a band and become famous for being totally awesome and rocking out - a good plan, as collectively, none of them had any useful job skills otherwise besides lock picking, throwing empty bottles, setting fire to stuff and felony assault. Collectively, they brainstormed over a lot of booze before deciding on the name "Exploding Robot Dingo" thinking it was the most awesome band name ever
+

+
Declaring herself to be lead guitar on the grounds that a) she knew how to play one and b) she actually owned one (a gift courtesy of parents hoping that their daughter would find direction in life), Erika took the stage name of '''"Rampage Red"''' based on her last name, her penchant for random violence and the fact that it sounded cool at the time. This seemed to work out; early try-outs showed that she was one of the most talented members of the band, and she quickly became a "front" based on a combination of talent, skill and preference for wearing bikini tops.
+

+
For a few years, everything was totally sweet. Exploding Robot Dingo was a hit in the underground indy rock scene, garnering positive reviews and building a small following through illegally pirated and downloaded recordings of their music. A huge bonus came when the super villain Ogre declared that it was his "favouritiest band ever" after hiding out at a concert following a random head-butting spree (he blended in rather well with the crowd). The members of the band themselves were having an awesome time, rocking out while garnering an escape from their worthless dead-end day jobs.
+

+
And then it all blew up on them. Literally.
+

+
One night during a practice session, the band's Drummer exploded for no real reason. That's literally, by the way, not figuratively; he blew apart in a ball of blood and gore and stuff, with a chunk of his brain going down Erika's top. Shocked and somewhat disgusted by the incident, the members of the band were at a loss. they could find no reason why he would blow up, he had no prior history of exploding and he had never expressed spontaneous combustion tendencies or thoughts. The band considered replacing him, but their heart had gone out of it. Erika trtied to rally them, but it was a losing cause. After burying what they found of their drummer, Exploding Robot Dingo quietly broke up.
+

+
Bummed out, Erika stole his bike and went off on a cross-country voyage of Self-Discovery. For several months, she roamed the highways and byways of the US, doing odd jobs and gituar solos to get by. While she was hoping to find direction in her life, she instead found little beside sunburn - or so it seemed. One night, while walking across the car park of her latest fleabag motel, she found herself surrounded by a pack of mysterious, shadowy figures. As they approached, she could make out more details - flannel shirts, baseball caps, muzzles, fangs and tails.
+

+
She realised what was happening - she was being attacked by a pack of Redneck Werewolves who'd taken offence at her musical styling. Falling back on all her Juvie Hall fighting training and phys ed lessons, she managed to give a good accounting of herself, pummelling several of them silly. However, the pack leader decided to up the ante, drawing a gun on her, one that was of an unusual design. However, when he attempted to fire, it didn't work at all.
+

+
So she brained him with her guitar, took the gun and rode off into the night.
+

+
Experimenting with the weapon, Erika found that it was a "Magic Space Gun", one that fired some sort of Magic Space Bullets that only worked against Bad Guys. This discovery gave her a new purpose in life, one that had been missing since Exploding Robot Dingo broke up. Travelling to Millennium City, she took up the life of a crime fighter, using her Magic Space Gun to blow up Bad Guys - and enjoying every moment of it.

Rampage Red's main power comes from the Magic Space Gun that she uses. More than simply a weapon, the Magic Space Gun has bonded with her on some incomprehensible level, altering her physiology and adapting her to its needs and apparent mission. The end result is that red is far more capable than a "normal" human, being faster, more agile, more durable, having superior vision and accuracy and a number of other traits that simply make her "better" able to use the gun to blow up bad guys.
+

+
In spite of all this, her main power is the Magic Space Gun itself. The weapon fires some sort of Magic Space Bullets that are seemingly unlimited in supply; Red never runs out of ammo or needs to reload. Where the bullets come from is a mystery, but she theorises that since "they're magic and from space" it's not important. The bullets themselves are inherently non-lethal; they "hit" the enemy, injuring and stunning them but seem not to do lethal damage to opponents, allowing her to blaze away guilt free all day against even the most hapless of foes. The gun can also be set for more lethal bullets to be used against opponents that are not "alive", like robots, zombies, zombie robots and the like. They also are good at blowing up park benches, boxes, rubbish bins and other bits of hapless, inoffensive scenery.
+

+
The bullets themselves have one other unusual characteristic, in that they only work against "bad guys". Against good guys or innocent bystanders, the bullets simply have no effect at all. This seems to prevent the risk of friendly fire or collateral damage, such as accidentally harming civilians. Red has been known to gratuitously abuse this feature to rescue hostages by indiscriminately spraying fire at the bad guys, knowing full well that she won't hit the wrong people.
+

+
As a final feature, the Magic Space Gun can be spontaneously reconfigured to Red's situational needs. While usually a focused autofire weapon, it can be set for close-ranged spray fire, long-ranged sniping, suppressive fire or a number of other functions. This change is largely instantaneous, and done in response to Red's subconscious mental commands.
+

+
=='''''<div style="color:#ffffff; background-color:#00667B">Personality</div>'''''==
+

+
While the physiological changes to Rampage Red since she picked up the Magic Space Gun have been severe, her personality has largely remained unchanged. Her drive to blow up Bad Guys and stuff is not derived from any deep-seated belief in justice or any personal tragedy, but rather the simple fun of it. After all, if someone has a magic space gun, why the hell ''wouldn't'' they use it to dish out arbitrary justice to Super-criminals? She actually quite enjoys getting into fights with villains of all types, but most notably costumed supervillains, for the simple sake of it and an opportunity (or rather, an excuse) to lash out and do some damage.
+

+
Despite that, Red is a friendly enough person if met socially. Outgoing, she is rather light-hearted and carefree, eager to meet new people and start yammering at them. She likes to drink a lot and will gladly carry on a conversation about whatever inane topic comes to mind once she gets a few into her. She enjoys her musical art, and isn't afraid to tell people what she thinks of their musical tastes (one of the reasons she dislikes Club Caprice is the "crap" they play in there), but also still plays in her spare time. Since becoming a hero (in the loosest sense of the term possible), Red has worked on a few new songs about her life as a crime-fighter. In her spare time, she will practice her guitar in her apartment or on the roof.
+

+
Even though she used it as a weapon, Red is rather fond of her guitar - even if it is caked in "blood and werewolf snot" and in need of tuning and repair. She enjoys playing it and practicing with it, as well as simply showing off. Her other hobbies include going out, getting drunk and watching gay porn.
+

+
Red can be rather obnoxious at times and isn't afraid to tell people what she thinks, going to the point of bluntness. She will rarely address people by their names or code-names, rather using nicknames she makes up on the spot, such as "Dr Stinkoman", "Lizard King", "Greenie", "Zombie Bob" and the like. She doesn't like demons, werewolves, vampires, catgirls and many other type of "supernatural" creature, and seems to particularly enjoy gunning them down.

+
Rampage Red appears to be in her early twenties. On the tall side of things, she has a very athletic frame, clearly muscled and fit, but still unquestionably feminine. Her hair is naturally black, but has been accented with a bright red trim, and is kept in a spiky, shoulder-length cut. It, in turn, frames an attractive face dominated by dull red eyes, an odd side effect of the connection with the Magic Space Gun. Despite existing primarily on a diet of beer, pizza and Commander Zam Cereal Puffs, she seems to maintain her figure - maybe we can blame the Magic Space Gun for that too. Red has numerous tattoos, primarily "tribal" patterns of the type preferred by white guys who wouldn't know a tribe if it bit them in the bum, primarily on her arms and back.
+

+
Her normal "costume" consists of a black bikini top, baggy, tattered cargo pants and thick-soled boots, topped off with a tattered, patched longcoat. She also has a pair of goggles that glow bright green; their function is unclear, as she never seems to actually wear them, rather keep them on her forehead as a form of adornment. On occasion, she has sported a high-tech breather mask when in hostile environments like the radioactive wastelands or Club Caprice.

+
- If your character was into the alternative/indy/no chance in hell rock scene, then they may have heard of Rampage Red or Exploding Robot Dingo
+

+
- Red may have inadvertently pissed your character off some way or another, possibly while drunk. This is especially true of Demons, Werewolves or Vampires
+

+
- Red doesn't really try and maintain a secret identity, so she's not the hardest person in the world to track down if you have a beef with her.
+

+
- If your character is the right age and passed through the Juvenile Justice System, they may have met her there
+

+
==='''''<div style="color:#ffffff; background-color:#00667B">Trivia</div>'''''===
+

+

+
- Red lives in a crappy apartment in West Side that is largely held together by cockroaches. She likes to practice gituar at odd hours, either in her room or on the roof.
+

+
- Rampage Red has terrible luck with cars. Amongst others, she has had a '72 Buick Riviera that was used as a weapon by Ogre, a '77 Cadillac DeVIlle that was accidentally blown up by Pulsar, a '72 Oldsmobile 442 that fell apart and had to be put down, a '76 Camaro that "ran off" (Not stolen simply ran off in her words) and a '64 Chevy Impala that was erased from history. She currently uses the dead Drummer's El Diablo chopper, and it seems to be doing fine. Never lend her your car.
+

+
- Stories about the Drummer of Exploding Robot Dingo seem to vary wildly and be incredibly inconsistent, often being contradictory or accrediting him with outrageous abilities or exploits. Of course, Red often discusses the band while drunk...

+
- Red is actually a Werewolf hunter, and the encounter with the redneck werewolves was no coincidence
+

+
- Red has a near-identical twin brother
