History

Stephanie Montgomery was an only child to a loving mother and father named, Sharrel and Earl Montgomery. They lived in Hudson City, New Jersey where they tried to make the best of the life despite all the crime and many vigilantes that roamed the rooftops with wannabe non-powered superheroes played Silent Knight and tried to keep the streets clean and the people safe. Stephanie spent most of her days as a cheerleader in high school while also participating in weekly martial arts classes and gymnastic lessons where she learned to master flexibility, agility, speed, and reflexes. Her parents would be so proud of her when she would win martial arts tournaments or got a metal for performing a triple somersault.

One night after Stephanie came home from cheerleading practice she would find her mother and father's dead bodies; bloodied on her living room floor, she soon called the police and fled to Millennium City to start her life a new as a street kid using her array of talents to defend herself, Stephanie would never find out who killed her parents and why but she would take their death as a sign that its not a "A Big Bright Beautiful World" with happiness everywhere.

Stephanie soon took to the streets as a vigilante named, Raider, this name was given to her after the local newspapers took notice she would randomly attack warehouses for any thugs and then beat them to a pulp. Stephanie would eventually come across Wayland Talos, a weapon manufacturer for the New Purple Gang, Stephanie would attack Talos after overhearing police radios saying that Talos is making weapons lethal enough to fend off an army of police units, Stephanie knew this weapons had to be destroyed. After convincing Talos to step out of the weapon making business; he would do this and leave and Stephanie would claim her reward of electro-shock grenades, grappling hooks, hi-tech boomerangs she nicknamed "Owl-Disks", and smoke pellets.

Stephanie soon realized she had enough gadgets to take up a new costumed identity. She chose on "Owlgirl" since it sounded cool and because owls are in season with a bunch of vigilantes naming themselves after owls.

Skills and Abilities

  • Body Language Analysis: Stephanie can intuitively read others' body language, allowing her to anticipate their actions and respond accordingly, often allowing Stephanie to predict her opponent's attacks.

  • Skilled Martial Artist: Stephanie is skilled in only on field of martial arts and that is Karate. She is a black belt and even though she can't best the "best of the best" she usually combines her cheerleading jumps, kicks, and flips with her martial arts skills to usually gain some sort of advantage.

  • Trained Gymnast: Stephanie has been training gymnastics ever sine she was three and continues this into her superhero career by often using flips and kicks in both fighting and transportation.

  • Expert Acrobat: Stephanie has also trained in acrobatics which she also learned at her gymnastic practices.

  • Learned Cheerleader: This is nothing much besides Stephanie combining kicks and flips with her acrobatic-gymnast routine to best people who lack superhuman agility.

  • Photographic Memory: Stephanie can remember great volumes of information, in greater detail and for much longer than the average human, she can read books, listen to song lyrics, encounter people or experience events and recall a vast deal of the details of their experience. In addition, it takes less effort to recall the information she encounters, and she can remember it longer without having to strain.

Equipment

  • Owlgirl Suit: The Owlgirl suit is composed of a thick out layer of leather to keep bullets from piercing through her skin and beneath the leather is a thin, but thick layer of kevlar sewn with Questionite-bindings to make it more resistance to electrical and fire damage, but less defensive against some knives and sharp blades.

  • Owl-Disks: The Owl-Disks are pretty much boomerangs used for disarming foes and hitting switches and buttons to far to activate manually by hand.

  • Electro-Shock Grenades: Although the exact frequency is unknown, these electro-shock grenades can deliver quite the "shock".

  • Smoke Pellets: Mainly used for quick getaways and blinding opponents.

  • Grappling Hooks: Used for swinging from Point A to Point B or subduing an enemy.

  • Owlwing Flyer Pack: Stephanie found this in Talos box of hi-tech goodies where he constructed a retractable "wing-pack" that would encase the user in a invisible anti-gravity field that would allow the user to fly as long as they unlike the wings are retracted back into the pack. Stephanie wears this beneath her cape where it goes unseen by many.

  • Dual Tonfas: Although rarely used, these are for fighting an opponent wielding a sword or any other elongated deadly weapon used to kill Stephanie.
