Background and Origin

EARLY LIFE

Steve "Stevie" Hendricks was born to Bertha Hendricks in Cairo, Egypt on 31st July 1983. Bertha was an American woman on vacation in Cairo. The father had not been named at the time. Stevie only spent a few weeks as a baby in Cairo, but he continued to be fascinated by the stories his mother told him of it, and the ancient Egyptian culture. As he grew, so did his love for ancient mythology and culture, and he developed a fascination for Archaeology. He spent his younger and teenage years idolising men like Howard Carter and George Herbert, the discoverers of Tutankhamun's resting place. It became a life ambition to become a great Archaeologist himself and make great discoveries of his own. His mother worked day and night to afford the education needed, and Stevie himself often took up jobs between terms to support her. He always understood the value of hard work in life. Keeping to his studies, he passed his high school exams, excelling in History and Science especially. He went on to study these subjects and archaeology in college, finally earning a degree in archaeology.

LATER LIFE AND DEMI-GOD AWAKENING

In his later years, Stevie went on to become Professor Hendricks of Archaeology at Michigan State University. He taught there for many years, and in fact still does. At the age of 27, his true parentage was revealed to him. The Egyptian God of the Sun, Ra, appeared to him through an avatar. He explained that it had been he who had impregnated his mother all those years ago in Egypt. In Cairo exists a nexus point, which allows God's and similar beings to visit Earth for a short time despite The Ban. Ra explained that even before The Ban, the Gods were weary of interfering with Earth and have always made one night visits every couple of hundred years. Stevie's mother had known his true father, but did not speak up because, well... Who would believe her? Ra went on further to say that he believed Stevie had a good heart, and was destined to do great things on Earth. He also extended the offer for Stevie to join the Gods at the Pantheon through the nexus point if he so wished, but with the understanding that he would leave his Earthly life behind. Of course, Stevie would never take up that offer. Even so, Ra awakened Stevie's dormant Demi-God powers. As an embodiment of the Sun, of sorts, this gave him various incredible powers. At the peak of Superhumans. Stevie has gone on to be a great hero, revered by many. His identity, of course, has remained a secret. He operates from his home in Millennium City. As a superhero, he has split his time between battling supervillains across the globe and battling poverty in the African Continent. His love of Egypt had bought him closer to the plight of the African people, and he was not shy of doing charity work. He continues his activities to this day.

Powers

Ra-Son's Demi-God status as an embodiment of the sun grant him various abilities. He is stronger, more dexterous and more reactive than a normal human, but not particularly high on a superhuman scale. Being a Demi-God, he is almost impervious to harm, and has become immortal. He has omnipotent control over fire, meaning he can generate flame from nothing, manipulate existing flame from any distance and even perform such feats as creating a fiery explosion from miles away. Of course, while his mastery of fire is, he himself is not omnipotent. This means he has to be aware of what he is affecting for it to work. He can fly at the speed of light. He has a strong but non-controllable degree of gravity manipulation. He can create a gravitational pull, up to and equal to the amount of the sun, with his body as centre. So while he can't manipulate gravity in other ways, he can pull objects towards and regardless of their weight and even destroy them with sheer gravitational magnitude. He can generate bursts of sunlight, up to and equal to that of staring at the sun directly without protection. This means he can generate enough light to burn out the retinas of even superhumans. Finally, he has a small degree of nuclear manipulation. He can create nuclear reactions and generate lethal doses of radiation.

Enemies

His current nemesis is seriously bad news for Earth. A short while ago, Ra appeared to Stevie once again through an avatar to explain a great and terrible mistake. Set, the God of Chaos, had been thwarted in yet another attempt to overthrow Ra and his allies and cause chaos to the pantheon. Ra had finally had enough. Using a nexus point in Germany, he stripped Set of his powers and sent the now mortal to Earth. Unfortunately, he had made a grave error. It seems that he didn't quite manage to remove all of Set's power. Set is weak, not even a big threat among superhuman standards. But with even a tiny portion of his power retained, he can regain his strength, albeit slowly. Because he was not at a God status when arriving on Earth, The Ban doesn't effect him. He could re-attain his full power here on Earth and ruin our world. Because of The Ban, Ra is prevented from interfering and fixing his mistake. So he has asked Ra-Son to stop Set before he gains too much power.
