The characteristics that jump out at most people are his neon-blue hair, his somewhat disturbing clown makeup, his eye-killingly green pants, and his purple tank top that's quite obviously too small for him. This is a rather shorter than average teenager, crippled by his psychological past and surrounded by a general air of not caring at all what other people think of him.

While he has not come out and openly stated that he has mental illnesses, UNTIL officials and other heroes alike both agree that he isn't quite "right in the head". The only word from him that is common knowledge is that he has had a past with the Maniacs. All attempts to get anything else out of him usually merit a shrugging of the shoulders and mumbling, and then quickly trailing off. While he has exhibited signs of issues, he might or might not actually have them.

[The following section can be found out In Character, it is not open information.] Prankenstein has a very black-and-white view of the law. Things are only wrong to him if they hurt others. You have a drug or drinking problem? He doesn't care. It's not hurting him or anyone but yourself. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and other members of New Vigil in action, even though he masks this from them. He hides his care for others and his loyalty through a facade of humor.

While he isn't technically superpowered, he is a self-taught engineer and learns how to make things by studying established creations. His youth and his cardio training have made him more acrobatic and faster than most people. He most especially takes after Foxbat and Black Harlequin, and for this, he has created a semi-functional robotic teddy bear and is working on sticky grenades.

Generally, what he has on hand is as follows: Several rolls of duct tape, Electrical Tape, Wiring, Food which usually happens to be Beef Jerky, Bubblegum Grenades and his Teddybear which hasn't been working for a while.

Not much is known or necessarily sought out about Prankenstein's past, his parents are yet to surface, and little is known beyond his long history with the maniacs.

New Vigil

Prankenstein was virtually unknown before joining the novice teen group, New Vigil. As a general rule, he knows almost everyone in the group relatively well, having fought alongside his teenaged companions on multiple occasions.

Bee- "He dresses with even more style than I do, and I see him as a role model, and as an older brother. We don't talk too much, though."

Arcane Squire - "Haven't met him much, but he's devastating to our enemies and quite a decent meatshield when needed"

Galactigal- "I didn't know her too well before she was kidnapped by her mother. She was quite harsh at times, and always took everything so seriously. Those eyes man, when she stares you down you feel like screaming and running away. For the little blonde girl with pigtails though, she's pretty cool, even if she does have speaking problems."

Charity- "She's helpful and wise, and I'm glad to have her as a co-leader, her influences always calm me down and keep me fighting at 100%, or whatever"

Black Ice- "My first friend in Vigil, he's quite a strange chap, has to drink this gross looking-stuff out of vials so he doesn't turn into a giant ice cube."

Stopwatch- "I gotta be careful around her, she doesn't like my joking too much, but other than that, she's an extremely valuable member of our team."

Kid Destroyer- "He's a little weird. But he gave us donuts, so he's cool with me."

Anarchy- "She's kinda like Galactigal in that she's eternally serious, but Destroyer in that she gives us food. She was very nice to train us up for free and stuff."

Blue Freedom- "I have absolutely no clue. Her actions are very confusing. Also, I think she's an alien."

"Well... he could stand to be more serious. Considering his whole uh... thing, though, I'm not sure that will happen." - Charity Corren

"Prankenstein is a...very strange name, but we...have heard worse. Aside from that, we...find him to be a peculiar individual. He...relies on humor far too often, but we...think that he is trying to hide...behind it. When he is serious, however...he strikes us as a much more caring and...deep individual than he lets on." / "Eeeeeeeh, Pranky is...I can't look at him in his makeup, freaking clowns! I guess he's okay most of the time, though...I just wish that he'd get better jokes!" - Galactigal/Samantha, respectively

"Pranky's really nice, but he's always so quiet when I'm around. I wonder if he doesn't like me..." - Jet Girl

"As silly as he is, Pranky's really nice. I've heard his reputation, but he hasn't really annoyed me yet. I mean, Oliver makes more time puns than he does! ...I wonder if it'll only be a matter of ti - NO." - Stopwatch

"He's a clownthing." - Blue Freedom

"Prankster is quite alright I'd say, for a bloke who wears clown make-up in his spare time." - Black Ice

"So silly! I don't get all his jokes yet. But he is pretty cool!" - Heartbeat

"Prank's hilarious. It's nice to see someone not take everything so seriously." - Luctus
