Milisarian

Description:

The Milisarians are a race of small but aggressive bi-pedal reptiles. They average in height about five feet and have skin similar to that of a reptiles. Members of this race tend not to have mouths, and seeing one is extremely rare. Due to their type of society, where sports determine many things, they are highly intelligent and resourceful.

Society

Their culture is highly competitive and places a great deal of emphasis on competitive sports and games. Most individuals play some form of sport, whether it is a physical game or an intellectual game. Contact sports are extremely popular, as are games of strategy. Their leaders are selected by way of a sporting tournament. In order to win a position in the government, players must prove themselves in a variety of different sports, including both physical and mental challenges. Their national sport, Vak’Kii, combines both.

Vak'kii Ball

Vak'kii Ball involves two or more teams fighting for control of three flags in a continually changing enormous multi-dimensional maze-like arena.

Fun Facts

• Their culture forbids them to lie, and doing so is a great dishonor. The only way to reverse this dishonor is ritual suicide.
• To limit both population growth and crime, criminals are automatically entered into a death-lottery. The more criminal convictions an individual has, the higher the likelihood that they will be selected and killed.
• They bought the technology required for interstellar travel from another species.
