Origin

Born of a Tengu father and an Oni mother, Kiyoi received the best genes of both ethereal entities. The joint mixing of their bloods perpetuated a deep affinity for ancient magics interwoven with the very power and fury of nature itself, as well as ancient and well kept secrets of martial arts and weapon forging. Centuries ago, long before the unification of Japan. When men were yet weak and uncultured animals who had barely begun to speak let alone discover fire, a great disturbance occurred within the earth and realms beyond. The veil was ripped asunder, the realms becoming closely linked yet still physically apart and the spirits of his realm were thrust into a cruel and violent world very much foreign to their own. The Oni terrified and angry at this became violent, using their supernatural strength to terrorize the creatures and denizens of the land called Earth. The Tengu however maintained a more open mind. Growing to love the new world they had come too. Never existing in one world or the other for too long, for to stay in one for too long would spoil it, yet also never again to truly call any place their home. In the dawn of those ages there was little need to protect the natural world and order of things. So lush and beautiful was the world that the Tengu reveled in it. Then the dawn of the age of men came. The dawn of the burning fire. The savage beasts the Tengu had taught to read and write, used this knowledge against them and multiplied, they expanded in numbers so rapidly destroying everything in their path to grow stronger and more numerous. The Tengu feeling betrayed and frightened slunk back into the mountains and deep forests. Guarding their most precious homes from the onslaught of their betrayers. For mankind only knew one thing, and that was the destruction of all that is good and green in the world. They carved the mountains and cleaved the forests all in a mad effort to build weapons. Weapons to destroy instead of protect, as the Tengu had taught them. Tools of war, and with those tools came the age of iron where entire forests where burned and razed in order to produce more weapons to kill one another. The spirits of a once peaceful and pure world grew angry by this betrayal and absolute disregard for life and all that was good and green. In these days attacks became very common along the trade routes and amongst the mountains and forests, a desperate act to stem the tide of man's growth. For war, war never changes. Then a miraculous thing began to take place. Intelligent thought. The men who once warred with one another, while still clinging to petty rivalries and war. Slowly developed a mind for peace. The dawn of the Edo period came, and with it came the mighty Oda Nobunaga. A man with ambitions to unify a divided land. While the Tengu as a whole maintained there distance over a deep seated century old disgust and distrust of mankind. Kiyoi however saw the world differently. In these new men who craved unity and civilization....dignity and honor. He found a semblance of himself. A path with which to share his love of nature, and perhaps convince mankind to stop its ceaseless destruction.

Broken Wings

After many years of observing these more civil breed's of human from afar, Kiyoi began to develop a compassion for their kind, until ultimately he ventured into the human lands. The humans who had long grown to fear his kind in the passing centuries, where far less than hospitable at his approach, and quickly took to beating him, plucking his feathers and gouging out his eyes before chaining him and selling him as a slave. For years he endured the cruel mistreatment of human weapons and tools, completing task after back breaking task in the name of their lords and forced into worshiping their false gods. The Kami. His brothers and sisters long turned a blind eye to the actions of the humans against him, as he had parted from the flock. Though still of their blood they felt alienated by his foolishness in ever trusting the humans and left him to his fate. Where the Tengu turned a blind eye however. The Oni in their savage fury would not stand for one of their own being treated in such a manner, and began aggressively attacking the humans. Some even resorting to eating the men to inspire fear. So great was their rage that it consumed them. In this madness, and the rage, Kiyoi discovered his Oni roots. The savage fury that had become a staple mark for that kind filled up his insides with a blood curdling anger that demanded justice, and taking up his blades he slew his captors. After a long battle finally they all layed dead at his feet...eyes agape and hollow of the spark that puts breath in their chests. Though Kiyoi's hope in mankind was shattered, and the rage still yet pumped inside him. He found a new far greater determination to bring culture to the abomination that was mankind.

Oni No Eishi

During the rise of the shogunate in Edo period Japan, Rust found himself amidst the noble samurai. Fighting alongside figures such as Oda Nobunaga, and Ieyasu Tokugawa, and his close friend Miyamoto Musashi. There he was adopted into the Noble Demon clan quickly rising to the rank of supreme leadership. These where peaceful days for him, and some of his proudest and most memorable, fighting to unify Japan, and protecting the secrets of his clan such as Endurite, a precious metal with strange properties, only purchasable through the clan itself, and the stunning Blue Sakura trees whose petals give strange healing properties.

Gear

すべての冠水ブレード, The All Severing- A pair of legendary blades, two katana and a wakizashi, forged using endurite, one of the most precious metals and materials on earth, Little is known about the process used to refine the endurite used in its making and even less is known about its composition, though typically only smelted in shades of green, the endurite of these blades changes hue determinant by the users clothing.Endurite in fact is such a rare metal that only one mine exists where it can be procurred, a secret protected for centuries by the Oni No Eishi sword clan. What is known is the blades indestructible nature, and its uncanny ability to sever anything it comes in contact with when the star energy is poured through it, save for certain legendary/fabled weapons. This blade is of a magical nature, the spell placed upon it is simple, the blade has the ability to sever anything it would normally cut, aside from weapons made by equally powerful means. The blade will never move from the axis it is held at, and will devour all incoming forces that impact it preventing them from being applied to the user, the blade cuts without resistance as such it flows through objects as if they were air, or rather as if there was nothing there to resist it at all. The blade can negate only forces that would not normally crush the user, and even those forces if they make contact with the blade, such as applied from another object will be weakened to the point where the wielder will survive the force, any force eaten by the blade is then funneled into maintaining its luster and sharpness, no matter how much blood it spills.

は、不滅のシェル, The Immortal Shell- An enchanted suit of armor that makes the user appear soulless, The armor is completely impregnable to all melee attacks although it can be moved and knocked about by great force, it cannot be broken or pierced by attacks of a physical nature, aside from areas where the armor does not cover, however all magical, elemental, or energy based attacks will harm the wearer, the armor makes whoever touches it move extremely slow as if a great weight were placed upon their shoulders. To anyone other than the user it moves as one piece so the armor can not be removed by anyone other than the wearer. As the fable goes, the original wearer was so invincible and treacherous that a skilled assassin poisoned his wine to put an end to him. The joints of the armor are covered in cloth which is also protected under the enchantment, the only openings in the armor are the slots for the eyes and mouth in the mask.

The Chain of Justice- A magical chain forged to bind those that deny justice, it acts on its own will

Enemies

Bounty Hunters- Nothing is more alluring than the price of a bounty, and nothing more tasty to a bounty hunter than the thrill of the hunt, the larger the prey, the bigger the thrill, and for an infamous bounty hunter, there is always the promise of a bounty to be placed on your own head at one point or another.

Valcar The Bronze- A nefarious and clever super villain, and an intergalactic crime lord, he rules over the Bronze Syndicate, a group of organized smugglers, slavers, and assassins.

Yokai Black- Kiyoi from an alternate timeline. Not to be confused with a parralel or alternate dimension. This is the same Kiyoi that you know, simply a dark and twisted abomination of the Kiyoi you know. He has lived the same life as Kiyoi, despite this he has chosen to forsake the light and take the darker path. Every decision he has made in contrast with our hero has been the most extreme and sinister option.

General Perception

Eyewitness account of the sacking of Samarkand.

"The ground thundered with each step he took, his armored boots cracking the earth, we sent thousands, guards, soldiers. They sent one man. No bit of flesh exposed from beneath the armor, only darkness, the inky blackness of the void. We attacked in numbers, and were brought dead upon the ground in seconds, as if each unit where struck by lightning surging forth from his blade, a thousand men like sheep to the slaughter."
