Appearance

Johnathan Ester is heavily serpentine, brought on by a voluntary mutation in order to get closer to the Serpent Spirit, with delusions of becoming an object of worship for the VIPER organization. That didn't happen, and the mutagen cost him his health. For example, he's lost most of his hair in the process. He must also carry around blood tanks to continuously reintroduce blood into his system, as his body won't properly. (The red stuff on his armor).

Personality and Lifestyle

With his mutations, his mind has slipped. But given his potentially shortened lifespan due to the sickness, his mind as slipped. He's not completely insane but it's fast approaching. Other than that, he's very angry, bitter, and holds grudges for an extended period of time.

His primary drive in life is to become his own "Supreme Serpent". He doesn't seek to dethrone the man but he definitely wants to be a "Go to" man for him. He wants to be the subject of worship, but the failure of his mutation has his goals out of reach.

Powers and Abilities

He has a hyper sensitivity in combat situations to the point where time almost slows down just for him so that he may react quickly to situations, making him difficult to fight in melee range, and may even be hard to hit at range as he'd have a couple seconds ahead of a bullet.
Even if that's circumnavigated, his skin has become nearly rock solid with some scales which act as a natural armor.

Weaknesses

As mentioned, his mutation has him very sick and is in near-constant pain. It's safe to say that science and sickness in general will be his downfall. That's not to say he can't be defeated outright - One can just simply use science to "speed things up".
And just because he's got thick skin, his mutation once again works against him. When pierced, he will flee the battle or die of blood loss.

He can only see direct attacks coming, and while he is a smart man... He's not quite a strategist. This means he can be maneuvered and manipulated. His primary tactics are "Bust in, take what I want." So obviously, that can be taken advantage of.

Affiliations

His primary enemy is Mira Aurea, his hatred stemming from her moderately successful mutation for having snake eyes. He'd prefer more than just the eyes but the fact that she seems to have no side effects interests him, so he's tried capturing her. Before her imprisonment, he tried luring her into a bunker so that she may be restrained and studied, but he failed when she noticed he wasn't quite himself.
Angered by his failure (one of many), he eventually sold out an entire Viper Complex to UNTIL to try and snare Mira. That backfired too, as she was taken to prison rather than delivered to him.

So you see, they're both double agents in a way. Mira has that over him, if VIPER ever found out either of them acted as an informant, they'd be assassinated. It's a an impasse.

Johnathan's only hope of success is to capture Mira and find the secrets behind her mutation so that he may take advantage of it. If he lives long enough, that is.
