The Beginning
Hyena, named James by his mother, was born to Isabella Michelson, the heroine known as the Brickhouse, after she was captured and turned into a manimal by Doctor Moreau. She escaped, hiding her and Hyena in the jungles of Monster Island. His youth was spent avoiding capture by the manimals loyal to Moreau, and the natural dangers of Monster Island. He learned quickly how to survive in the jungles, capturing small animals and birds to fill his belly.
When Hyena was six, Isabella disappeared, and could not be found, even with the help of friendly manimals. Refusing the offer to stay in the village with the others, and unable to believe that his mother was dead, Hyena stayed in the jungle, surviving on his own, all while looking for her still.
We fast-forward several years, to the point in time Hyena finds a human in an odd blue uniform in one of his traps, listening to the man's offer, he goes back with him, and shortly after ends up in Millennium City.
The City
When Hyena arrived in the big MC, he was not used to this urban jungle and UNTIL agents had to coach him on what he could and could not do. It didn't help much. His first few months in the city did not go well. In a slew of many accidents, one of which ended with Hyena stuck into the engine block of an SUV, he finally learned that cars and trucks are evil. And roads hurt. As well as making several allies and friends along the way.
Around this time, he became well known for an almost bottomless pit of a stomach and his constant workout routines which keep him surprisingly fit.
