“In some ways yes, she’s nervous and tired. She said she was going to try and occupy herself, everyone deals with things differently.” Mentella replied

“Speaking of dealing with things…you haven’t told me how you are planning to combat the rather bleak future vision your magic frie- CharmCaster showed us. My own idea was to lock ourselves away once we are home and we have dealt with this summons business. We both have property and resources on Xen, we can always persuade your sisters to leave Earth and I’m sure the Crystallos sisters would leave as well. Sounds good doesn’t it?” questioned Psion.

“As appealing as that sounds, it doesn’t take into account the fact that even without the Summerstone Academies, I still have a business to run as a clinical psychologist. Clearing my schedule for an entire month was not easy. I would have to contend with a significant amount of paperwork than I have already if I was to leave completely. You are also forgetting the two humans and the extradimensional arch mage who are also part of the sisterhood.” replied Mentella

“That arch mage has been around much longer than you and I, I am certain she won’t be too displaced if you left, if need be she could probably magic herself a mansion and some friends. As for the two humans, the UNTIL Agent is self-sufficient, and I’m sure she can find friends. I seem to recall a meeting with UNTIL representatives regarding a placement in an upcoming project for the young telekinetic mutant? As for everything else, you can just drop it all and live with me instead.” he scoffed, waving his hand dismissively.

“Aside from the last point you make a somewhat well-structured argument, but consider this; if we do indeed leave Earth and set up a new life back on our planet, what if something happens to Sai’edra, something that we could have prevented had we been on Earth? Or if moving back to Xen, leads up to what kills us? Both Kr’anri and CharmCaster’s visions showed us lifeless on a non-terrestrial ground, which could be anywhere but Earth. As of right now, you, CharmCaster, Kr’anri nor I have enough information to draw an accurate conclusion to how we should act. I intend to do my own research when we arrive.” Mentella responded.

“Well for what it’s worth, if we can determine where the rest of the Psychic Coven and Elyisaus are or if they come to us…I’m still very much a fan of the ‘obliterate everything and everyone’ plan. Moreover, I can promise you now; I will not hold back or be ‘heroic’ about it. I will destroy them.” he frowned.

Location: Somewhere in Outer Space

Sai’edra sighed and stood up in the control room of the spacecraft. She left the room, allowing the doors to slide shut behind her as she tried to broadcast a message to Mentella.

<I’m going to occupy myself or just rest. I’m a little distracted after well, you know. If you need me, I’ll be in my quarters.> ~ Sai’edra

<Alright, we’ll be here.> ~ Mentella.

Psion looked back as Sai’edra had just left and turned to Mentella

“I’m assuming that’s about before?” he asked.

Psion made a face at her reply but shrugged.

Mentella’s eyes flashed a bright magenta colour as she smirked at Psion.

“I do hope we are able to find them, besides I wouldn’t expect you to hold back; especially when I don’t plan on doing so either.”

Psion’s frown transformed into a predatory grin when he saw her expression, he chuckled and leaned back in his seat.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the real Mentella Summerstone has returned!”

Mentella rolled her eyes and keyed in a code as the ship’s systems fully engaged the shielding as it prepared to engage the ship’s hyperlight systems. Psion looked back to where Sai'edra had been sitting and moved to stand up when Sai'edra entered the control room and sat back in her seat with three silver sachets in her hand. She gave one to Mentella and the other to Psion.

"Thank you, I was actually going to come and find you. What have you been doing?" asked Psion.

"I just wandered around, tried to rest but that didn't really work out so well. I'm just anxious to hear what the High Consul have to say." replied Joule.

"Well, we'll be there soon enough." nodded Mentella, as she carefully tore open her sachet.
