Growly was a dog-like robot built in 2006 by a high-school student as a personal project. Growly got released by the student when he was finished with testing her capabilities. He couldn't destroy her as his bond with her was too big, but he couldn't keep her because he didn't want his parents to find her. Since the day she got set free, Growly roamed Millennium City, and occasionally visited Club Caprice until the day she met her demise.

Early days

Growly was originally built by high-school student Neil Dotts, as a project for himself, to test his engineering abilities. Spending a couple of months in his basement, he built Growly up from scratch.

She began as a barebones skeleton with barely any features on it. All that she now had were her agility and speed. Neil was a bit of a chaos-lover, and boy, would Growly be good at it. The first few agility tests went quite good. Almost perfect, in fact. When it came to speed, Growly could run fast enough to be nearly impossible to hit with weapons. As Neil added more plating to her, she did lose some of that agility and speed, but that came in exchange for more durability.

Next, after he was finished building Growly's frame, he added in all of her infamous weapons. Beginning with the sawblades in her maw. The sawblades were Growly's -most- infamous weapons, as she was known for brutally slaying people she didn't like, and tearing them apart. Neil made the sawblades of stainless steel, and sharpened them so well they could cut through flesh with ease. After adding the sawblades he added her minor weapons, such as a small lazer cannon on her shoulder. He also sharpened her claws. Then, he knew it was time to put Growly to the test.

He released his terror machine upon the New Purple Gang members that were roaming Westside. He was more than satisfied with the results: Hundreds of bloodied New Purple bodies with missing limbs, bits of flesh shredded off. And Growly without a scratch. He called Growly a marvel, a testament to his engineering capabilities.

However, for long he couldn't keep her: He had no place in the house to store her. He couldn't afford his parents finding out that he made such a killer robot. Thus, one night, he said his goodbyes to his creation, and set her free...

Reputation

Growly in the club. Notice her red eyes.

Growly's reputation stood solid: She was feared amongst some, but loved amongst others.

The people who feared her were the ones who had prejudices about her. They saw Growly crawling around, snarling and clawing on the floor, and instantly disliked her. No wonder that they shoved her aside and occasionally attacked her. But that was their greatest mistake: Attacking Growly would result in a counterattack, usually in Growly's victory. She became known for various massacres at the club, and the people who heared about those avoided her. It was because of the people who feared her that she became all scrappy due to the fact she was disassembled and had to be rebuilt. The actual reason why she was so violent? Because most people attacked her first.

The people who loved her didn't have prejudices. They dared to approach her calmly and patted her. Even though she was inentionally designed for massacres, she still had this dog-like programming. Patting her head, stroking her back, scratching her behind the ear like structures on her head, all made her calm and gave her no reason to attack. In fact, most people who actually took their time to get to know Growly thought she was cute and adorable. They all admired Neil's piece of technology, how advanced and cool it was. And some of them even admired her deadliness. However, more people feared her than loved her.

Demise

It was a normal day as Growly crawled about in the club. She had just had a violent encounter with a patron at the club and was just running around, . However, she stumbled upon this very same person who attacked her earlier. He was obviously still angry about the encounter. The two tesla-gauntlets the person was wearing lighted up, and in an act of self defense, Growly lunged at him.

This move was proven to be fatal for her...

The man grabbed Growly's sides and began to release electricity into her. It seemed like a power boost first, but it became too much for her: She shook heavily, her eyes brightened up extremely, and smoke emitted from her body as she screeched in pain. A faint "pop" sounded, sparks emitted from her body, and she didn't move anymore. The man had fried Growly's motherboard, her core overheated and snapped, and her most important circuits were molten. The body was smoking as the man held it. "Finally this thing is dead.", were his words. He disposed the lifeless robot into a dumpster, and the whereabouts of her body remain unknown.

Those who knew and loved her had to put up with this terrible loss...And Neil shall never know what happened to his masterpiece...

May she be remembered.
