Personality
Gila is best described as a nerd, quite eccentric but willing to talk to others. Inquisitive to boot.
Background
David Stonesmith was born on November 12th of 1972, the youngest of three brothers, and while he was not outright bullied, he was lowest on the pecking order, and often in stupidly flail-tastic fights with his siblings, around middle school they had all matured and stopped their bickering and slapping over the TV remote.
It was also around this time David became move active in his school work and improved his grades, his brothers doing average.
by the time he graduated it was no wonder he got a grant and went to MI State, while Kendrick and Kyle went into construction and the navy.
Helping Rebuild
Still in Lansing in 1992 when the city of Detroit had been ransacked, David had signed on to help build the "city of the future" in the aftermath, horrified by the events and refugees pouring into the city during. After the construction was finished and he had done his part and had collected his contract payment he was left without a project and goal. With a degree and funding he set up a lab and wanted to create the next great milestone in society.
Vendible Superpowers
David had a project goal in mind, the computer, automobile and TV had been thought as a simple fad that would die out and became important parts of civilized life, he would make the next part of that set, purchasable superpowers, working off the concept of genome altering serums he had gotten the first official testing group up and running in due time.
CURSE YOU FDA!
Of course David lacked any kind of test subjects, with no one to volunteer and even then it being a massive human rights violation, david cliche-like used himself with a sample from said test group, it had worked! with difficultly-reversed cosmetic effects, but it worked! though the FDA had turned his idea down due to risk factors (because handing out superpowers for sale to every person out there can't end badly, ever).
Why not?
With nothing to do and leftover cash, David looked at his life and decided to become a costumed hero, he lived around them in his everyday life, and anyone else who had gained powers took the same route and registered, why not? at the least it would kill any kind of boredom.
Powers
Regeneration: Being a lizard like sin of nature Gila of course has powers of regeneration, anything that won't kill him in an instant or very quickly he can probably survive.
Agility: Also with this came increased reflexes and response time, great for sports (if he played any)
Claws and venom: have to stop violent criminals somehow...
Weaknesses
Temperatures: As expected Gila is cold-blooded and sensitive to temperatures, so extremely hot or cold places could prove a mess.
Poor constitution: While The man can regenerate, he is by no means hardy and can only withstand so much pain until he has to flee and can no longer ignore it.
Shortened life expectancy: hooray for unstable genetics!
Thought Process
David is often thought of as malicious or unstable to those asked, though he has never had any record of hurting anyone and seems to act off of blind curiosity and improbable theories, almost like a child.
When asked on questionable behavior he doesn't hide it and will give the same answer: "Growing up and in my work life I never understood others, they had odd habits i could not relate to or bring myself to commit to. When my project to standardize superpowers to the populace tanked I found myself outside their species thus i could vocalize my thoughts and actions without making myself an outcast...I don't mind it really"
Public Relations
Gila is known as an average hero to primus and until, having assisted them in several situations where they could use an extra hand and mind and has even assisted in critical Viper nest raids, He is not currently under any probation or observations
Trivia and Notes
Remake of my CoH toon, i'm sure the Supreme society is cursing me even now for switching.
