By donning an ancient gauntlet, Kristie Owens gained incredible strength and resistance and can conjure large heavy weapons to use in combat. There was a downside to this however in that she cannot now remove the glove from her arm. Criminals of Millennium, are you ready to face the Gauntlet?<br><br><br>

She fought in many battles and caught the eye of Freyja<sup>[2]</sup> as one who may be worthy to become a Valkyrie<sup>[3]</sup> one day. During a particularly bloody encounter Vigdis lost her right hand but continued to fight on, eventually overcoming her gigantic foe. In honour of her prowess in battle and her service to her people, Freyja granted an ancient Asgardian Gauntlet to Vigdis. The gauntlet (long since seperated from it's left twin) was forged at the same time as Járngreipr<sup>[4]</sup>, the iron gauntlets worn by Thor<sup>[5]</sup>.<br><br>

The gauntlets also empowered the wearer with enough strength and resilience to bear the summoned weapon in battle, allowing the owner to use weapons much more massive than they would normally be able to. Nothing is known of the fate of the left glove, the right however came to Freyja in repayment of a debt.<br><br>

Somehow knowing that Freyja did not mean her any harm Vigdis accepted her new 'hand' and continued on with her life, never finding herself without a weapon in battle. Having been unable to find a worthy opponent in all the years since obtaining Vápnstefnari and fearing that old age may claim her before a death in battle, Vigdis accepted and returned to Fólkvangr with Freyja.<br><br>

The [[Qularr|<font color=f5cf4b>Qularr</font>]] Invasion<sup>[7]</sup> changed the lives of many. Kristie Owens, the hero better known to the populace of Millennium City as Knockout, found her life forever changed by the events of those dark days. Already out on patrol in the West Side, K.O. was amongst the first to engage the strange insectoid aliens that spewed from the landing craft. Holding her own at first as she directed frightened civilans to locations of safety, she soon found herself being overrun by sheer numbers; finding herself losing ground as she struggled to make space to throw a punch or kick at her attackers. In order to give herself some time to catch her breath and perhaps find other heroes to even the numbers, K.O leapt high onto a fire escape amidst a barrage of energy beams and venom attacks. K.O. quickly raced up the creaking stairwell as the insectoids approached the base, and as she reached the top she turned to see a Qularr scout ship bearing down on her. Tearing a metal stanchion from the stairwell she was poised to throw it as a make shift javelin at the approaching craft, when the metal beneath her feet gave way under the combined assault of her attackers sending her falling surrounded by shards of rusted shrapnel that had once been the platform upon which she stood.<br><br>

Translating Document...<br><br>Please Wait.<br>Please Wait..<br>Please Wait...<br><br>Name: RyGhat Skwaght<br>AKA: Riot Squad, Ryan Smith<br>Occupation: Law Bringer, Class X10<br>Operations Base: Formerly Escaari IV, Sector 168.045<br><br>Synopsis:<br><br>An interplanetary law enforcement officer created in the vast clone farms of Escaari Prime, RyGhat Skwaght followed a fugitive criminal from his own world to Earth. Knowing his target was armed and extremely dangerous, RyGhat eventually cornered his quarry on the edge of a major metropolis. After an extended battle, RyGhat was able to apprehend and pass sentence on his foe.<br><br>Unaware of local laws on what was considered a backwards world, RyGhat executed the criminal in accordance with his legal statutes and this unfortunately brought him into conflict with local superpowered crime fighters attracted by the commotion his battle had caused. <br><br>After a brief but intense fight, RyGhat was able to explain the situation and in accordance with his own code of ethics decided to remain on Earth in order to atone for what he now considered a murder.<br><br>In order to assimilate to his adopted world, RyGhat took the more easily pronounced Riot Squad as a name, finding it fitting considering his former profession and his propensity for causing enough damage for three or four people.<br><br> With the aid of local authorities Riot Squad was also able to take a private identity as Ryan Smith and a position was made available in the MCPD which allowed him to keep his ear to the ground in his desire to fight crime in his adopted city.

An Iron Fist...

Vigdis Bjornsdottir
Vigdis Bjornsdottir[1] was an ancient norse warrior maiden. She fought in many battles and caught the eye of Freyja[2] as one who may be worthy to become a Valkyrie[3] one day. During a particularly bloody encounter Vigdis lost her right hand but continued to fight on, eventually overcoming her gigantic foe. In honour of her prowess in battle and her service to her people, Freyja granted an ancient Asgardian Gauntlet to Vigdis.
