The Old United States of America

The Confederate States of America is one of the three primary splits of the United States of America. The Democratic States of America, which encompasses most of the western United States, as well as some of Canada and Mexico, is still hostile to the CS. The other part, once the remnants of the United States of America, accepted an offer by the Canadian government to fold the financially bankrupt United States into the newly renamed Canadian Union.

Confederacy

On June 22, 1993, Georgia declared its secession. Texas followed suit within hours, and Indiana quickly followed the next day. Over the next week, much of the Southeast and Midwest had seceded and banded together. On July 4, 1993, the Confederate States of America was declared and the Second American Civil War had begun. Ultimately, the CSA would win CWII, gathering much strength as a nation in the years ahead, nearly rivaling the old United States. The only thing standing in its way to becoming a superpower is the DS's ongoing hostilities.
