What states are considered to be part of the South varies, but may include Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. The South is an area united by culture, history, and a certain pride that keeps it a distinct region of the country.
