Artixel's Origin

Abducted

Peter Badgin was born in February of 1973 in the city of Philidephia, PA. He had a relatively normal life up until he turned 15. He didn't begin to evolve into a mutant or sprout wings, and he didn't gain Superhuman abilities...at least not just yet. One day, he and a group of his friends decided to head to the gym, which turned out to be a horrible, terrible idea. The moment they stepped foot into the gym, a group of muscular tall aliens with scarred grey skin, species unknown to this day, attacked and rounded up everyone there. They abducted them and warped everyone into their ship, and took off for their planet.

The journey took three months, three agonizing months. Many of Peter's friends died on the journey over, due to lack of food and water, as well as terrible living conditions. Once they arrived on the alien planet however, they were treated relatively well. They were all given seperate rooms and fed relatively well. It was still obvious they were prisoners, but they were comfortable at least. Peter, having gone through so much already, would eventually become hardened with hatred and anger due to the deaths of his friends, and sat in his room, thinking, plotting for some type of revenge.

Everything Sucks

Eventually Peter and his friends, the ones who were still remaining, were brought to a large room surrounded by hoards of the aliens. He wasn't really aware of what they were there for, but he was paired up with one of his friends, who's name was Timothy Grant. We'll call him Tim for short. The two of them headed off with one of the aliens, who in fact has bought them off of their previous "owners". Their new place of residence wasn't as nice as their previous one, but Peter and Tim were put in the same room, and were able to talk and conspire. They needed to escape, but how can one escape from an entire planet?

Peter and Tim eventually learned their purpose with the new alien captors. They were to be placed in a sort of gladiatorial arena against the planet's wildlife. These two boys, BOYS, would be put against vicious creatures. The odds were against them, but lady luck sent a gift from the heavens that day. Peter was in fact a Meta-Human, and his abilities surfaced a few days before their first match. Gaining super strength and flight, as well as awesome toughness, Peter would be a force to be feared.

The Escape

Fighting in paired matches with Tim, Peter defeated the creatures with ease. All Tim had to do was stay behind him, and everything would be fine. The two rocketed through the gladiatorial matches and even defeated the alien's champion warriors. Once all opposition was defeated, the aliens instructed Peter to attack Tim, to become the true champion. Of course, Peter didn't do as he was told. Instead, he gained the courage to take Tim and fly his way out of the arena. The aliens...well, they took exception to this.

After months of wandering and barely surviving on the strange planet's flora and fauna, as well as fighting off random hunting groups of the slaver aliens, the two friends came across yet ANOTHER basecamp full of aliens. These were obviously of a different species though, and they vastly outnumbered the slaver aliens. After a cautious approach, Peter met with them and was eventually able to pass the language barrier with hand motions and emotes. It had seemed the new aliens, who will be called the rebels from now on for convenience, were in fact rebels, and were planning on attacking the slaver aliens for a long time. Peter of course joined the rebellion, and eventually became champion of the rebels due to his super powers. They called him "Artixel", which means "Strong Savior" in the alien tongue.

The Rise and Fall of Timothy Grant

After a few years, yes years, of skirmishes and strategic attacks, the rebels were able to attack the slaver aliens' main city. They overtook the area within minutes, with little to no resistance thanks to Peter's abilities and Tim's cheerleading. Unfortunately a few stragling slavers were able to unleash a behemoth creature, which Peter had to go off and deal with. Tim was attacked by a slaver, and was cut on the arm while fighting it. Fortunately, do to his training with the rebels, he was able to defeat the enemy just before Peter returned.

The rebels thanked the two for their help in taking down the slaver scum, and insisted on using one of the slaver ships to take them back to Earth. They accepted and boarded a ship back to home, but Tim's arm wound seemed to be acting up. It turned out that his wound had been infected by some type of disease from the planet, and he was getting more and more sick by week. They had almost arrived, and were entering Earth's orbit when Tim finally passed away, taking a final look at his home planet before closing his eyes and drifting off.

Becoming a Hero

After returning to Earth, grieving, and burying Tim in an unmarked grave, Peter flew to Millennium City, having heard news of there being superheroes and villains running a muck. He didn't really have any other choice, since that was all he was qualified for. That's how it began, and that's why Artixel's such a grump. ((All of this information is of course OOC and shouldn't be known by anyone unless told specifically to a character by Artixel himself.))

Powers&Abilities

  • Super Strength - Artixel has super strength due to his meta-human abilities. Punching through steel or lifting cars, Artixel's strength is one of his most useful abilities.
  • Flight - Artixel's abilities also include the power of flight, which he gains from being able to alter the gravitational pull around his body. It's a BS explanation, but that's how it's done.
  • Super Durability - Arty's pretty tough. His molecular structure is incredibly dense and a field of protection surrounds his body at all times, allowing him to take incredible amounts of damage and walk away as if it was nothing.
  • The Dehydration Punch - Artixel's abilities also include the awesome power of performing the dehydration punch. The blow removes fifty percent of the target's moisture within their body, and is extremely dangerous. Art doesn't use this ability unless faced with dire circumstances.
