Early Life
Ashlee Evans grew up in Millennium City's Westside with her dad Eli Evans who was a cop working for the Millennium City Police Department. Ashlee grew up as a tomboy with a funky personality and gorgeous appearance. Ashlee met her first best friend in the first grade and her name was Rosa Phelps and little did they both know that they would become like sisters after this first meeting.
Flash forward several years later a thirteen-year old Ashlee discovers the manifestation of superpowers within herself and would use them to evade gunfire from the upcoming gang at that time The New Purple Gang and would reveal them to Rosa only to have her write it off as Ashlee being silly and her crazy imagination get the best of her. But Ashlee knew something was different about her and also knew that it wasn't her mind going on a candy-induced hallucination and so she found out the basics of her powers like superhuman speed, agility, reflexes, and the ability to scale upside buildings. She was almost like a bug or a spider. Ashlee thought this more of a sign for her to become a superhero and so she started to plan out a namesake and costume for herself in the years to come while she learned the full extent of her powers.
Ashlee and Rosa progressed through the years as best buds in all of elementary and middle school before finally coming to the not-so-wondrous Westside High where as the girls described "full of hormone-induced boys and snot-nosed, bratty girls" though the two would of course try to conquer the challenges of high school as they did with elementary and middle because the two learned early in life (probably from Ashlee's dad) that when you're faced with a challenge or something you think you can't beat remember to rise above and conquer what lies ahead cause only that and hope will get you past the toughest obstacles life can throw at you.
Ashlee by this point was fifteen years old and a freshman and like a freshman would do in once they make it to high school: learn the ropes. Ashlee did just this with her new spidery powers and spend half the year learning what she can and can't do. The most famous being spinning webs from out your butt which for Ashlee was good cause that would be weird, gross, and embarrassing if she became a superhero and subdued an enemy by spraying them if webs that were housed in her rear end. Once Ashlee finally felt that she was ready, she sewed together herself a costume and took on the night as a "hooded vigilante" that papers would come to call her as, The Web.

Volume 1: Power
Volume 1 of Arachnae follows leading character, Ashlee Evans into her life as the costumed vigilante, Arachnae. Volume 1 is titled "Power" because Ashlee will go down the path of hero discovering new powers like Superhuman Strength, Hyper-Sensory and so on. It shows how she progresses physically and mentally. Also due to how poor and short the Introduction issue was, expect the first issue of Volume 2 to be a reprint issue and a "Issue 0" reintroducing the origin and character of Arachnae to you in a better way then the real issue 1 did.

Powers and Abilities
- Spider-Augmented DNA: Unbeknownst to Ashlee or anyone else, Ashlee's DNA has been somewhat augmented with the attributes to that of a spider's and then enhanced to a superhuman level. The cause to how this could've happened is yet to be revealed but so far until then Ashlee has just been passing off that she was born with her spider powers.
- Superhuman Strength: Much like most female spiders Arachnae can lift more then her own body weight and bench-press more than that of a human. The exact limit is yet to be tested but it is clear she should be able to lift up to approximately 2-3 tons.
- Superhuman Speed: Arachnae can reach speeds that rival that of the fastest sports car.
- Superhuman Agility: Arachnae's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Arachnae's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about 40 times greater than those of an ordinary human.
- Superhuman Durability: Arachnae's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. Her body is more resistant to impact forces than anything else. She can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by an opponent with super strength, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no discomfort.
- Static Cling: Arachnae can crawl, walk, run up walls using static electricity.
- Hyper-Sensory: Recently discovered by Arachnae and later researched by Dr. Silverback. Arachnae has a new power called, Hyper-Sensory. Hyper-Sensory as described by Dr. Silverback is when Arachnae's five senses are enhanced to the point where she can, for example "see" things so fast that they go in slow motion. Silverback also described it as the extent of a certain sense depends on how she reacts to the certain stimuli that may trigger it.
- Hyper-Sense: A by-product of her Hyper-Sensory, Arachnae possesses a danger sense that warns her of an intimate threat to her or her friends. Arachnae's Hyper-Sense is also far more advanced then the other Spider's as she can actually pinpoint the direction of where the danger may be coming from and can also tap into her Hyper-Sense to act as a second pair of eyes if she is ever blinded, temporary or otherwise.
- Biological Webbing Generation: She has the ability to organically produce her own silk webbing from glands within her forearms, possibly limited by her body's health and nutrition which also manifest in a green coloring. The webbing Ashlee produces are very unique as she can control the texture of the webs at will, primarily changing the texture to be as sharp as barb-wire and be just as thick as a whip so she can use them for more offensive purposes.
- Claw Extrusions: Ashlee's ability to spin organic webbing has allowed her to develop a power where she can extract claws from her four fingers, excluding her thumb. The claws can be used for offensive purposes but they are mainly used as way to cut Ashlee's webline if she ever needs to. But she is mostly seen using them whenever she has bound a thug upside-down from a street light and needs to cut them down so the cops can properly arrest them.
- Venom Burst: Arachnae can harness a ball of unknown natural flowing energy and fire it towards her opponents causing them to move suddenly and powerfully forward or upward into the sky or into the pavement.
- Pheromone Blast and Mesmerism: Arachnae has a newly discovered power of Pheromone Mesmerism, in which chemical changes in her own body odor can be altered in which she can project them into wisps that once they come in contact with an individual can soothe them and put them into a trance long enough for Arachnae to either deliver the final punch or leave them there to relax.
- Contaminant Immunity: Arachnae is immune to some, if not all, known poisons, toxins, venoms, viruses, bacteria, etc. This comes from the fact that her Spider-Enhanced DNA has augmented her human capabilities by enhancing them to near-resistant if not superhuman levels providing her heightened immunity to most foreign chemicals that make it into or around her body.
- Accelerated Healing Factor: Ashlee can heal from most wounds in an accelerated amount of time. It is way different from a Regenerative Healing Factor as to that regenerative meaning her body can regrow damaged skin cells and tissues in a rapid amount of time. Ashlee possesses just an accelerated healing factor meaning that she can heal from most wounds faster then an ordinary human. (Ex. if she breaks her leg, she will heal from it in about a week in comparison with a ordinary human would would have to wait some months in order for their broken leg to fully heal)

Equipment
- Reinforced Costume: Arachnae's original 'vigilante' costume lacked very little protection and was mainly a thermal-insulated costume made of standard baseline cloth. Upon the end of Spider-Wars, Arachnae redesigned the suit to be more resistant to small caliber bullets and lasers, the suit is also outfitted with Nomex flame-resistant meta-aramid polymers so her uniform is more resistant to most forms of fire, except for ones that are magical in nature (Ex. Hellfire). Lastly, the costume has special underarm wings which Arachnae has said is for her to slow down or glide down safely once she lets go of her energy cable.
- Energy Cables (Formerly): A new, upcoming grappling device made specifically for Millennium City's MARS Police Unit, Arachnae got her hands on one of the previous prototypes and uses it as her main way of transportation. The Cables emit a red-colored beam of light and at the end of it is an electromagnet which can stick to most surfaces and can support the full weight of two people. However they must be recharged daily as to that the energy cables can die out and the electromagnet can no longer adhere to anything once it is dead.
Weaknesses
- Naive: Arachnae, not being in the superhero business very long is very naive of her surrounding and thus she doesn't always have a straightforward plan when it comes to fighting or ambushing supervillains along with that she always believes shes gonna win, though this is a good thing at times but most of the time due to her constant faith in winning she sometimes believes she'll be able to take on most threats with ease and end it in only a few seconds.
- Psionics/Psychic Attacks: Arachnae has the weakest defenses against most psionic-based attacks having fought Psimon, Medusa, and many other PSI agents and the end results cause Arachnae to get migraines and massive headaches which often times have sent her onto a blind rage. This is probably due to her Hyper-Sense (being a psychic power) makes her mind easily "hack-able" by most telepaths and psychics.
- Toxic Contaminants: Ashlee is very vulnerable and susceptible to being overpowered with certain toxins that she may be exposed to.
