The History of Trena 5

Trena 5 is an outer rim world, located on the end of the Scutum-Centaurus Arm of the Milky Way galaxy. This frozen planet being the farthest world from its sun mostly is in darkness, except it's only source of light is that from the reflections of a passing comet that is in orbit with the planet. Not all of the planet is frozen. Some areas of the world is much rugged and sandy due to the volcanic activity under the surface of the planet, which the Trenians reside. This species resembles humanoids of a lion with manes that extend from their heads down to their chests, fur patches over their wrists, a tail of that of a lion, and fur over their feet. Their bodies build for running and leaping across the vast barren wastelands of the almost frozen world. The Trenians over the generations become an intelligent species, able in a short time build cities in these frozen tundra, out of the volcanic areas which they mainly reside in. Trena 5 would become a source of resources from the orbiting comet. Shards of crystals would plummet to the planets surface to which the Trenians harvested them, to which due to the properties of these crystals, capture the stars light energy and be used like a battery. Development of machines, ships, and improve the ways of life soon followed with also the discovery of the metals under the oceans of ice to be called 'Verlite'. With the discovery of these energy crystals, many surrounding worlds would come to Trena 5 to harvest it for their own, but the Trenians would retaliate in keeping their precious resources from falling into the wrong hands.
