FILE: PRE-INCIDENT
Dr. Thomas Payne is an Alumni of MIT University who studied Molecular Physics and graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in 2011. Not only was he the most brilliant mind in the entire school he was also the university's most prominent student athlete, Captain of the schools boxing team and a Qualifier for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Word got out to Viper that MIT just graduated one of the most brilliant Molecular scientists the world has ever seen with this in mind they then created a plot to kidnap him to assist with the progression of their Omicron and Draysha technologies. On the way to London with his teammates Marlen Esparza, Rau'Shee Warren, Joseph Diaz Jr., Queen Underwood, Jose Ramirez, Jamel Herring, Errol Spence Jr., Claressa Shields, Marcus Browne, Michael Hunter, Dominic Breazeale, and Thomas' replacement Terrell Gausha the plane was hijacked by Vipers Air Troopers. Though the plane safely landed in England later that day Viper still accomplished their mission of obtaining Thomas as well as deleting all records of his existence from all the computer systems in the world.
Since his kidnapping Dr. Payne has either been forced to lead or assist with the technologies at multiple Viper Nests such as the various ones in Canada, helping with the development in Pre-Cogs technology ,as well as the Nest located on Monster Island, were he has helped further the progression of the Draysha Venom as well as Omicron Tech. During his years in captivity Dr. Payne has been apart of the team of scientists directly involved with the development of Viper's Omicron technology, as well as fellow captive Doctor Park Lee-Wen from North Korea who with the state of the art lab provided by Viper has made all variants of VIPER's energy weapons - Photonic, Plasma, and Pulson, now deal significantly more damage in standard fire modes. He has also worked with the deranged Doctor Phillippe Moreau who is responsible for the Draysha Venom. Though he learned and improved many of his skills his time as a Captive was gruesome and in-humane which lead his to training hard every night to aid him with his plan to escape.
FILE: POST-INCIDENT
Two years have passed as Thomas slaved away in captivity, when on one faithful day UNTIL's Special Operations unit lead by their commander Kyle Eckhardt, happened to carry out a raid operation on the Vipers Nest in Monster's Island where Thomas was currently being held which resulted in the emancipation of Dr. Payne and a handful of other kidnapped scientists from the clutches of the diabolical Viper.
Upon his return to society Dr. Payne pledged that he will do everything in his power to prevent Viper and others like them from doing that to anyone ever again. As a result and with the help of Harmon Labs and its scientist and hours upon end of back breaking work they developed their own version of an Omicron suit with the knowledge he gained from his work with viper. After its completion they all decided that Thomas would be the best fit for piloting the suit due to his naturally reflexes and strength as a boxer and his science know-how. Now dawning the Omicron tech that drove The Ripper insane the immense strength was toned down a great deal so his mind would be able to handle the suit and have complete control. Dr. Thomas Payne now goes by the name OVERLOAD and continues to fight for........JUSTICE!!!
FILE: PAYNE'S PSYCHE
Thomas is an intellectual who prefers to examine foes which he used during his boxing matches to find a weakness in his opponent while fighting them. He is often intrigued by the scientific implications of a problem, so much so that he almost forgets there is a problem in the first place. Thomas is an extremely likable fellow who keeps a pleasant smile on his face. However, he does occasionally lapse into depression over long-standing unsolved problems.Thomas suffered severe trauma inflicted by Viper during his time as their captive, and repressed it in his subconsciousness. Because Payne's mind is incredibly complex, the original trauma associated with the event is sometimes triggered during his exposure to the Omicron Suits injections but thankfully due to his intellect he can suppress it still giving him full control while dawning the Overload suit.
FILE: OMICRON EXOSUIT
The Omicron suit was developed by Dr. Payne and a team of UNITY scientist based off the Omicron technology of Viper. It includes elastic electrofoam tights and an exoskeleton that injects Thomas' spine arms and legs to feed his body the classified chemicals involved with Omicron. The outside layer of the suit is comprised of a highly complex matrix of molecularly-aligned fully crystallized ultra high carbon iron/steel hybrid alloy enhanced by magnetic fields over layers of other ultra hyper alloys like titanium alloy and or tungsten/vanadium alloys reinforced with carbon nano-tubes creating a shell that is pliable, yet capable of amazingly high resilience and protection.
FILE: JET PACK H202-Z
The H202-Z can typically reach speeds in excess of Mach 10, however Overload has been recently depicted as able to reach orbital escape velocities (5 miles per second) and up to speeds that can outrun black holes. Use of the jet pack provides enough power to lift a load of about 500 tons (which comes in handy since Overload weights a tremendous amount when the suit is on).

FILE: SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH
Overload possesses the capacity for virtually limitless physical strength. Overload's immeasurable strength is directly proportional to the level of chemicals the Omicron suit unleashes into Thomas' body. Thomas subconsciously restrains the suit's full potential because he quantifies and measures the external variables so that the suit would never make him loose control and hurt anyone. However, if the suppression of Payne's restrictions occurs, the suit itself can neutralize this limitation.

FILE: ADRENALINE AND OMICRON SUPPRESSION
Adrenaline and Omicron inhibitors can be administered via syrings of kendrium and questionite, objectifying to revert the transformation into Overload. Amplified quantities can accomplish this purpose successfully.
FILE: KENDRIUM AND QUESTIONITE BLADES
They have been shown capable of piercing Overload's suit. However, as Overload's chemical input increases they become progressively more ineffective, reaching the stage they are completely inefficient to harm him.
FILE: GAS INHALATION
Great doses of gas can temporarily detain Overload. However, it's not an insurmountable obstacle, since Overload can dissipate the gas from his face with the activation of his gas mask.
FILE: STRENGTH INCREASING FACTOR
Overload normally doesn't achieve full strength in the first moments after his transformation. Unless there is a substantial and significant event that breaks Payne's restraints and triggers far superior amounts of adrenaline and Omicron chemicals in his circulatory system causing him to loose control.
FILE: MAGIC
Depending upon his state, and the power magnitude of the magic manipulator, this could be a potential threat. Also, Overload has been shown to be injured more easily by enchanted weapons than regular weapons.
FILE: EXTREME CONDITIONS
Finally, he can be hurt or even killed by cosmic entities or individuals with similar extraordinary level of power, and under some conditions be psychically manipulated by exceptionally powerful telepaths.
