Appearance
Although commonly mistaken for an albino, Imogene does not lack pigmentation; her skin and hair are just naturally snow white. Her ears are long pointed like an elf, while the sclera of her eyes are black.
Aside from these oddities, she has been described as nearly flawless. Equal parts powerful and feminine, she has appeared to be in peak physical condition for the past three decades.
Her style of dress can safely be described as old-fashioned. She tends to favor clothing from the 19th century or older and leans toward gender-neutral.
Known to only a handful of people, Imogene also lacks a navel scar.
Background
Imogene was left on the steps of a cathedral in Spain sometime in the 1950's, where she was taken in by local nuns. At first even these women of faith were skeptical of her origins and believed Imogene was a mutant abandoned by her parents. As she grew older and began manifesting unexplainable powers, their views began to change; this child was an angel, or the child of an angel, and had been given to mankind as a gift.
When she was deemed physically mature enough to be trained for combat, the nuns brought her to the Vatican, where she was immediately swept up by the numerous secret martial organizations within the church. For the next decade of her life she did little but train to become the perfect tool of righteousness.
On the very fist mission where she was allowed to venture out alone, however, she immediately went into hiding and dropped all contact with the church and her former comrades. For several years she avoided being located before finally reappearing. Imogene agreed to work with the church again under the condition that she was free to come and go and would no longer be treated like a weapon. Not wanting to lose contact with an actual celestial being, they reluctantly agreed.
Dame Gallant now roams the Earth, hunting for the undead and demonic entities of the world and killing the Hell out of them. Literally.
Personality
On the surface, the knight is terse and businesslike, only saying the bare minimum needed to convey her ideas. She is unconformable around the faithful and does not know how to fulfill their expectations. When asked for blessings or advice, she usually falls back on reciting Biblical verses or borrows sermons and anecdotes from others.
Those that are allowed to know her eventually discover a more boisterous and light-hearted side. She always seems happiest when away from civilization on the trail of some horrible beast. Her few close friends know her as a women filled with doubt and uncertainty who would rather find answers in combat.
Abilities
Supernatural Durability - Imogene is incredibly resilient to blunt force and impact trauma, making her very difficult to stun or knock out. She has more trouble against slashing and cutting implements but is better off than normal humans. Cold and heat are also not a serious issue for her and she can safely touch small flames such as candles.
Peak Physical Condition - Imogene has the strength and stamina of a human in perfect physical condition and remains that way regardless of any effort on her part.
Positive Energy Manipulation - Dame Gallant can manifest light and channel positive energy for offensive and defensive purposes, such as warding away demons, creating weapon constructs, or simply lighting a dark room. This is typically accompanied by touching a holy relic or invoking Latin phrases, though it is unclear if these things are needed.
Weaknesses
Unforgiving - Imogene simply doesn't believe that some entities are capable of good and will not allow most undead and demons to go on living. Even those who demonstrate otherwise are simply playing a long game to save their own hides. Depending on the situation this doesn't always mean throwing down right then and there, but she always takes note of every potential mark to find them again in the future.
Outsider - For all of her own misgivings about what she is, the laws of magic seem to treat her as a celestial being. Rituals and spells that bind or harm angels or counter divine magic seem to work against her just fine.
