His suit also has the ability of flight. Known Abilities Aviator is a tech genius and a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. He is also considered one of the best pilots in the country, a trait that carries over well while flying his power suit. Equipment Aviator has many different suits of power armor. He has his standard suit which is used primarily, a heavy suit used for physically powerful or large villains, a stealth suit for infiltration purposes, and a newly-developed space suit which can sustain him in orbit (although this suit has not been fully tested).

Aviator is a power-armored super hero and an American patriot who is in constant battle with alien invaders and the power armored heroes of rival countries.

Early Life

Edward O'Brien was brought up to love America. As a child he would often take trips to see the National Mall and the National Archives. His other passion was technology. O'Brien would constantly take things apart and put them back together, just to see how they work. As time went on his love for technology and mechanics, as well as his love for his country combined into the will to fly for the United States Air Force. O'Brien enlisted into the Air Force as soon as he graduated high school. He spent a few years building planes and missiles before eventually becoming an officer and beginning to fly jets. O'Brien was seen as a reckless pilot, yet he excelled at what he did. His superiors could not deny that he was one of the best pilots in the country. O'Brien was given the call sign "Rocket Man" for the way he flew.

Building the Suit

During a recon mission in Afghanistan, O'Brien's plane was shot down. O'Brien was not injured, but he was stranded. He could not contact Bagram Air Force Base and he knew he didn't have much time before he would dehydrate, or be found by his enemies. O'Brien took a leap of faith and began using parts of his jet to build a jetpack. He knew how theoretical a jetpack was and how impossible the idea sounded, but to him it was either that or death. For two days he labored hard on this project and eventually managed to complete the jetpack. O'Brien flew himself to Bagram Air Force Base and was praised as a hero. A few weeks later, O'Brien's superiors asked him if he could build something more powerful than a jetpack. O'Brien agreed to try and was given access to nearly endless resources. Eventually, after a few months, O'Brien built a powerful suit of armor with built-in weapons that could fly. He presented it to his superiors and after a week of deliberation, it was decided that the United States Military did not have the funding to equip every airman with one of O'Brien's suits. O'Brien took his prototype and continued to tinker with it, making it less bulky and more effective. Eventually he was contacted by the President about his suit. The President offered O'Brien the chance to represent the United States military and the freedoms and liberties set forth in the Constitution in the global super hero pantheon. O'Brien accepted without second thought.
