Description
With an imposing height and incredible musclebound build, Kodiak's bestial mutant traits are shown by thick tufts of body hair, large hands and feet, a heavy brow and short tusks. Though fairly gruff at times, he is respectful and always committed to doing good.
Background
Born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska, Kodiak (named after the bear) received a high-school education and excelled in sports, particularly football, wrestling and firearm marksmanship. Afterwards he joined the US Navy, and was accepted and trained as a Navy SEAL. Garnering much attention due to his exceptionally powerful build and physical training wisdom, he served for twenty years, and was deployed many times into combat zones worldwide. Eventually however, a medical test revealed his mutant genes, and he was honorably discharged with the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Returning to Yukon Territory, Kodiak attempted to live a retired life until, during a brief excursion into Canadian territory, circumstances prompted him to combat a squad of Hunter-Patriot militia. Heroes from a nearby RCMP outpost arrived to help, and after neutralizing the militia threat, Kodiak joined the heroes in further Canadian defense endeavors. Eventually acting on the recommendation of the heroes he had assisted, Kodiak traveled to Millennium City to fight crime, and learn more about being a superhero.
Registered under the employ of PRIMUS, Kodiak is often assigned missions within the United States and abroad, and has a day-job assisting the MCPD's Special Weapons And Tactics division as a senior training adviser.
