Dead Dog, or socially known as the exceptionally kind-hearted Jalen Harris, was a small time hero who worked primarily throughout Millenium City. Over the course of his eight year career, he gained some semblance of a cult following due to both his theatrical persona and the unique cocktail of mutations. People dressed up as him during Halloween, blogged about finally seeing him in person during his normal runs, and there were even fan girls. Hell, some folks assumed he wasn't even human, but some prophet or godly being. On August 19, 2001: Dead Dog took his last breath, and was buried in the largest of the cemeteries built as a memorial for those that died during The Battle of Detroit.

[hide]The Rising

- He woke up, unaware of where he was or how he got there. Arms searched through the impenetrable darkness in an attempt to find something to grip to, something to confirm this feeling of living, instead only to find cotton. And then he grew wild, tearing through the cotton, breaking through the wood, and clawing through the dirt. Finally, light! He worked the opening until it was just large enough to squeeze his body through, falling onto the upturned earth beside his route of escape. There was stone there, smooth and pearly. Marble, perhaps. Arm outstretched, he dragged his palm across the stone's surface, no bumps or ridges. "Here lies Jalen Harris, who stand guards over this sacred place of death." Confused, the still seemingly fresh corpse struggled to it's feet! And with a lethargic stride similar to what one would expect from the newly risen, it shambled off.
