Backstory
Originally born as Andre Dupont, Mag was once a normal boy with a normal family, leading normal life, in the normal city of Windsor. But then 1992 happened, and Windsor got second row seats at the spectacle of destruction that happened on July 23rd.
She was only six years old the time, but the experience was still vivid, the loud explosions in the distance, the skyline filling with smoke and ash as skyscrapers crumbled, the river flowing with debris.
The experience was confusing, the horror of what happened didn't sink in until much later, and managed to leave Andre with a bitter hatred of "bullies" like Destroyer, as she'd have put it at the time.
The real story however begins four years later, as the then ten year old Andre is getting attacked by some bullies of his own. On April 18th 1996 young Andre was accosted by a group of older boys intent on assaulting him for their own amusement.
Before they could really hurt him through, Andre's mutant powers manifested, and in a sharp distortion of space they were all flung violently away from him. The boy was left scared and disoriented, fleeing the scene and returning to his home to hide.
He eventually and slowly started discovering he could move things with his mind, explode electronics, and bend light in funny ways. Only years later did Mag realize she could manipulate electromagnetism itself.
The next major event in Mag's story was puberty, and the subsequent discovery of her true gender. By the time Andre was 15 years old, he was already undergoing HRT.
Mag's first superheroic venture was only the following year, when she began vigilante work on the streets of Windsor, busting small time crooks and villains. Her first breakthrough however was in 2008, when she snuck away from her college and join in the heroes trying to fight off the 4th Gadroon invasion up in Northern Canada
What really cemented her as a hero however was the Second Qularr invasion in 2009, where she tore small Qularr ships from the sky with her mind and helped defend innocent civilians. Following the invasion and rebuilding effort she decided to take up residence in the city, and now owns an apartment downtown.
Her next great moment of glory was the Destroid Invasion of 2013, during which her powers proved very effective at breaking the incredibly advanced machines to bits.
