Growing up in Mid-evil France

Sophia grew up a noblemans daughter in Amiens, France where her family had rather large keep on the outskirts. As a teenager she often dreamed of becoming a knight or a warrior of somekind, but such things where not acceptable for young ladies of the court, yet her father trained her in the use of sword and bow from an early age. He felt that those who could not use weapons could surely still die by them. From her youth she remembers images of valiant men of arms traveling through the village with there squires in tow. Oh how she dreamed that one day in spite of the way society felt she to might get the chance to be on of those valiant soldiers. But whenever she brought this up her mother quickly brought down any imaginations with the reality that she would marry, and marry well for the preservation of the family name. She was sent to school there in the local Abby where she gained a classical education including math, literature, and Latin. She grew to be an intelligent and lovely maiden, the catcher of quite a few eyes in the village, and everything seemed to be going as planned until tragedy struck.

In her late teens early 20's the plague begin to spread across the land and the Leglise household was not immune. The village became consumed with those falling the violent and brutal death that the disease brought, and it seemed all the prayers and efforts of the kind nuns in the Abby where of no avail. Both her mother and father contracted the plague and after weeks of pain and misery finally passed away on cold November evening. Sophia was devastated, unable to cope with the loss at first. They where truly dark days for many families throughout the village. For a brief time she moved to the rural area outside Amiens to live with her uncle who was himself a knight preparing to go on the crusade to reclaim the holy land. Here she stayed for a few months escaping for a time the terrible pain of the household she left behind. She watched her uncle prepare himself and learned everything she could about what it meant to be a knight in service to God. But soon the call came for her uncle to leave and begin making his way to the front lines of the Holy War. She moved back to Amiens to live with her Grandfather who had moved into the Leglise Estate.

Everything Changes

Soon Sophia was married and moved into her husbands home, but Sopia's wanderlust and desire to be a knight never subsided. When she by freak chance got the oppurtunity to serve as a squire in the crusades she took the oppurtunity, even though she suffered great ridicule from the community.

Her grandfather disowned her and her husband being so overcome by depresion from the constant baggering of the townspeople eventualy comited suicide in the chapel where they where wed. With no where else to go she turned her back on her town and family and threw herself entirely into becoming a knight of the Knights Templar.

The Crusade

While on Crusade she was summoned back to Amiens to defend against a great evil threatening the town. When she arrived she found the town besieged by a demonic force. In the battle she was magicaly hurled through the planes, by fate ending up here in present day United States.

Coming to the Present

She has reconnected with the Knights Templar and serves them now
