Origins
"I once was your avarage Joe, now I'm John Doe, the stranger."
Still at his work, John had not noticed what was going on in Detroit, not until the building was hit by one of the beams of the orbital laser. It tore through the building, like a hot knife through butter, and John fell two stories down to the basement, landing heavily on the concrete floor. Laying unconscious for two days, he finally woke up, with a minor concussion and several broken ribs. In the darkness of the collapsed building, he could see a green light in the distance, so he slowly began to crawl towards it and finally came to an open vault door.
He crawled inside the vault. There he found several barrels with both toxic and radioactive waste, and fumes that made it even harder to breath, in addition to his broken ribs. Maybe it was the combination of the fumes, the concussion and the pain that made him do what he did next.
"I've had a few bad ideas, but this one takes the cake!"
He searched his pockets, found a lighter and lit it. The fumes caught fire, making the vault burst into flames. Caught in the flames, John fell to the floor, trying to get to the exit, but in vain. The waste melted and the sludge slowly began to cover his body, dousing the flames and protect him from further harm.
Powers, skills and various attributes
Powers: Since the vault, he has been completely changed. For good or bad. His healing factor has increased greatly, as has his strength, agility, reflexes and general resistance.
Skills: Has a wide skill set, including but not limited to gemcrafting, gardening,
Attributes: His metabolism has been completely changed since the vault. He can not drink chlorinated water, regular grapejuice etc. Because of the sludge, his eyes now radiate weak β-rays, why he is bound to wear his goggles, though the rays travel all directions, his brain has been affected. This result in more or less frequent mental breakdowns, causing him to ramble about anything with no real coherence.
