The story so far...
By donning an ancient gauntlet, Kristie Owens gains incredible strength and resistance and can conjure large heavy weapons to use in combat. Criminals of Millennium, are you ready to face the Gauntlet?
An Iron Fist...
Vigdis Bjornsdottir (Battle Goddess, the Daughter of the Bear) was an ancient viking warrior maiden. She fought in many battles and caught the eye of Freyja[1] (Goddess of War and Battle) as one who may be worthy to become a Valkyrie[2] one day. In honour of her prowess in battle and her service to her people, Freyja granted an ancient Asgardian Gauntlet to Vigdis. The gauntlet (long since seperated from it's left twin) was forged at the same time as Járngreipr[3], the iron gauntlets worn by Thor[4] (God of Thunder).
Enchanted by it's dwarven maker, the gauntlets were called Vápnstefnari[5] and each could summon a weapon owned by the wearer from anywhere to his or her current location. Nothing is known of the fate of the left glove, the right however came to Freyja in repayment of a debt.
