Background and Origin

Early Years

Born into a family with deep ties to law enforcement, Starling grew up in a world where duty and honor were paramount. Her father, a respected captain in the Military and Advanced Response Services (M.A.R.S.), often shared stories of bravery and sacrifice, instilling in her a strong sense of justice and a desire to make a difference. However, the realities of her father's work often cast a shadow over their family life, revealing the complexities and moral ambiguities inherent in such a position.

As a child, Starling was fiercely intelligent and curious, always eager to learn about the technology that her father worked with. He would occasionally take her to M.A.R.S. headquarters, where she marveled at the advanced tech and equipment. These experiences fostered a fascination with technology and a yearning to contribute to the safety of her city. Despite her admiration for her father, she also began to notice the undercurrents of corruption and power struggles within the organization, sparking an internal conflict that would haunt her.

In her teenage years, Starling's perception of justice evolved as she witnessed the flaws in the system. Friends and neighbors would recount tales of police misconduct and injustice, contrasting sharply with the ideals her father preached. This dissonance fueled her rebellious spirit, leading her to question the very organization her father served. As she grew older, she distanced herself from the conventional path her father envisioned for her, choosing to explore her own interests in technology, coding, and urban exploration.

Starling excelled in school, particularly in the sciences and engineering, which further deepened her understanding of advanced technologies. However, the pressure to conform to her father's expectations weighed heavily on her. She often felt torn between the desire to honor her father's legacy and the need to forge her own identity. The growing corruption within M.A.R.S. only intensified her struggle, as she began to see the organization not as a bastion of justice but as a flawed entity capable of causing harm.

After graduating high school, Starling decided to pursue a degree in technology, using her skills to create gadgets and devices aimed at helping those who couldn’t help themselves. She spent her free time volunteering in community organizations, using her talents to provide assistance and support to marginalized groups, and began to develop her own sense of justice independent of her father’s influence.

High School

By her teen years Rachel was a tall, slender blonde hair beauty. With the help of a scholarship she was able to enroll at Ravenswood Academy. She still had zero luck with boys, despite her look…the culprit? Her father…Can you imagine having a police officer for a dad, yeah not many boy got past the barrel of his shotgun. Around the time Rachel turned seventeen, she started to find out who she really was. Why can’t a gal like guns, and glitz? She was even elected class president her senior year of high school. During her senior year, her father injured himself and retired. He then started to turn to drinking and became lost in depression. Rachel was heartbroken to see the man, she once respected and admired spiral down into this. It was around this time, she spend more time with him. Learning more about being a detective, how to solve crimes. It was during this time she decided on her life’s goal. To become a private-detective and stop crime like her father. This new shocked Charles out of his depression, and he started to give Rachel even more pointers on police work, more then he should have. Rachel is the best of a tomboy, and a girly-girl all rolled into one. She is studying criminal justice. When at school Rachel is the classic bookworm. Using every chance .With the recent events she has used her connections to dawn the persona of Bluebird, and fight crime while trying to solve the mystery of her father’s disappearance.

Eternals INC

While a smaller hero, here efforts became noticed by a few groups. One being Eternals INC. Leader Colosso. He invited her to try-out for a position within the super-team. While hesitant at first, Rachel ultimately decided to join. This turned out to be a crucial point in her career. Under the mentorship of Vespula Sting, Rachel gained increased combat training. Something she was always hesitant, due to the nature of not having any abilities, was fighting metahumans. He also mentored Rachel in the science of advanced gadgets. She learned how to better improve her kit, allowing her to fight higher-level threat enemies. Now she has no fear fighting at even an Omega level threat, due to her time with the Eternals.
