Physical Appearance
Black furred with typically dyed crimson hair along with her bat-like features tends to have Bella stand out from a normal crowd alone. Smaller than the average hero, she can not be called imposing by any means. Her typical attire consists of business-casual wear, from black and white tones to red and black of an otherwise varied wardrobe. Having been inducted into The Star*Guards at some point, she might rarely be seen in the traditional Guardsman uniform.
Her Origin & Power
Bella claims to hail from another universe...and with the information collected, it could very well pose to be true. It would seem this other plane of existence is much like how Multifaria is an alternate version of our own universe, the same is true of hers. It is unknown along what "time frame" the unnamed flooded Earth (if it even is an alternate Earth) is in regards to our own, as technology seems to range from being either superior to ours, or primitive in certain areas.
She makes the claim of having saved her world from a battle of old deities, torn from their opinion on the mortal races with the aid of several allies of which contained several religious allegories to those of our world that exist today. There is no possibility to either confirm or debunk this claim unfortunately, however she has displayed high levels of combat capability and has stated that her three allies are equal in various fields, from combat to inventive creations. These allies have yet to step foot within our own universe according to Bella.
What ever this source of power is, Bella has stated to be both, natural and unnatural as she was not born with her physical prowess and it was a gradual process. Though, her "special pistol" was granted to her by a being outside of her universe who refers to themselves as 'Cheshire' who indeed appears to have some similarity with the Alice in Wonderland story of our world, down to several effects her main weapon seems to be capable of.
Her combative capabilities primarily consist of mid to short range gun-kata. Her aim is impeccable, as well are her reflexes and hand-eye coordination. Bella is also known to use minor gadgetry, such as flashbangs, energy projected defense shields, propulsion footwear as well as durable wires for normal everyday use.
While Bella is a deadly force in her own right, her overall power pales in comparison to the capability of this 'Vorpal Weapon'. While not taking the form of a sword, she states it is not the only form that a 'Vorpal Weapon' takes, and that there are several of these weapons strewn about existence itself. Active use of this weapon appears to physically damage Bella with every use depending on the complexity of the action. Actions have included cutting through the fabric of reality, from opening portals into other dimensions or universes by "cutting" the space between them as if shortening the distance, supposedly.
Even while that alone is terrifying, this "cutting" ability goes beyond quasi teleportation as Bella affirming, and proving, as long as she holds the constitution and will required, the weapon can "cut" through, and away, anything. Tests have shown her capability of completely removing powers from meta humans with a direct shot that seems to otherwise be harmless. While able to cause permanent loss of powers supposedly, even the limited time frame of these powers being removed caused Bella severe harm and hospitalization, having suffered brain hemorrhage-like symptoms. Yet, with no regenerative power, Bella is capable of returning to normal duty shortly after.
The 'Vorpal Weapon' is also capable of "cutting away" limitations. An example primarily used would be Bella's usage of removing her body's physical and/or mental limitations. Thus, she is able to further enhance her already formidable combat capabilities albeit temporarily. Usage of her weapon in this manner takes a far lesser toll upon her body and it may very well be tied to how willing the targeted individual is to be affected, along with physical and mental fortitude towards those less willing.
Early Life
Born as a 'Moreau' upon a large continent called "The Island Closest to Limbo" which is she's stated to be "The ghetto of her world" where most of her kind tended to reside. A sort of post-apocalyptical world with vast wastelands, no true wildlife to speak of, and an utterly massive ocean separating supercontinents. Born into a poor family to Roy and Rachel Freeman as their only daughter, her survival hinged mostly upon her own cunning. Complications occurred between the two parents, leading to the death of the mother and soon after, the father figure of which left Bella alone. It is hinted it was she that was the cause of her father's death. Given the nature of this lifestyle, it was natural that she eventually went along with one of the local gangs which was her introduction into firearms. Little of meaning appears to have occurred, at least nothing of worth according to Bella compared to when she managed to leave the continent of "Limbo" with acquired funds and having attained a "digger's license" alongside with those she states to be her allies and friends.
Trained and guided by a man by the name of Gab Newell (no not that one though the description given is strikingly on point) she and her group delved into several ruins guarded by robotic animal-like beasts by the name of "reavers". As diggers, their primary goal was to gather energy sources known as "refractors", returning these crystal-like forms of energy back to the surface for profit. Gab was eventually maimed from the waist down during one of their ventures, leaving the still relatively new team without their trainer. However they were able to persevere, becoming full fledged diggers while Gab retired. At some point, Bella herself would have been approached by this other worldly being that went by the name of Cheshire, who through a trial of will, bestowed upon her the vorpal weapon she is known for today.
The group's notoriety grew past their profession, being given notice by the head of the lead government corporation on "The Island Closest to Heaven" (or simply known as "Heaven" for short), the group soon became mercenaries. Michael, as their new employer would send Bella and the rest of the group to perform various acts of corporate espionage, hits, or seek specific treasures down within the ruins they as diggers once treaded for mining. Eventually the group would also begin taking more widespread destruction jobs from Michael's brother, Raphael who is another government corporation lead on "The Island Closest to Purgatory" ("Purgatory" for short). Seemingly more short tempered and more prone to violence as the group was tested...with soon Gab returning to reveal themselves as a brother of the two aforementioned siblings. The group having been put through various trials to find, locate, and exterminate their sealed sister Lucy. The siblings, revealed not so much to be mortal as they were children of the godly being of this universe, with Gabriel, Michael and Raphael attempting to return their father back onto the celestial throne.
At some point in this universe's history, Lucy had shattered the balance by sealing her father within herself and hiding away deep within the ruins, the once supercontinent "The World" became flooded with the fragmentation of the advanced ruins that made up the core of the planet thanks to her burial...thus the various islands were born when much of the world became engulfed in water and the eventual separation of man due to the shattering of known civilization and technology. With humanity having essentially been reset back to a primal state, and the other siblings unable to do much on their own, they were forced to wait until the eventual reemergence of an advanced civilization. With Bella attaining this vorpal weapon, a tool capable of permanently ridding even a god, the siblings were able to put their plans to slay Lucy into action and free their father, the god of this world.
However, upon the discovering of Lucy's whereabouts on "The Island Closest to Hell", the situation was significantly more complicated than initially told. The flood had been a plan in the making by the god of the world to wipe away humanity to start anew due to the frightening technological advances they once held. There was no disease, no starvation, no hardships, no need to work and vast longevity...a paradise, in which there was no need to pray for anything. No need for a god. Lucy, having fallen in love with humanity, betrayed him and her siblings, by sealing away her weakened, faith deprived father within herself and retreating into the very core of the world that had long since been replaced by the advanced machinery of humanity presently known as ruins. Despite the lack of strength, her father from within was able to take control over Lucy momentarily, causing the cataclysm that mostly destroyed humanity's progress. However due to being within a sealed state, the destruction upon the world was limited. Putting herself in a dormant state after regaining her consciousness, Lucy remained at the planet's core until awoken by Bella and the rest of her comrades. Her father's potential possession remaining an ever present threat...
A brief exchange of words, truths forced thanks to Bella temporarily removing the ability to lie from Lucy, the group now acting as a rebellious force against Michael and Raphael who were found during their years as corporate government officials to be manipulating humanity's woes to their father's wishes until his reemergence. With the immortal slaying weapon, Bella was a key part of the group's success...though her own physical ability to fight was significantly lowered due to the taxing nature of removing immortality from otherwise immortal beings, her comrades were combatively equal-to-superior than herself. Gabriel sought not to do battle against his once pupils, having too taken a liking to humanity due to his much lower chosen station. Though, all that remained was Lucy herself, and the god within her that remained. With the potential of him breaking free, there was little choice in the matter but to remove Lucy from the world and from those mortals she so loved. With her death, the deity of the world itself was freed, however soon after too was cast into darkness upon defeat by the mortal saviors.
Aftermath
After becoming a world without active celestial overseers, Bella and her comrades have taken up the mantle that the previous generation had been forced to leave behind. Albeit in a significantly more pro-mortal manner considering their roots. With Davin (gunner rat Moreau of the group) having become a sort of global leader, ending the vast majority of poverty upon the world with total unification. Blitz (an advanced android with an otter-based chassis) assisting with the rediscovering of advanced technology and implementation of said tech to allow for the harsher, once deadly necessary jobs to become automated. From becoming a world where work was absolutely necessary to survive, it became one where one could select a desired career of one's choosing. Various arts and further tech was developed over the course of several hundred years under the watch of the new immortals as the world once more became a utopia. However Bella herself was an outlier, as much if not all of her skillset revolved around violence. And visits into the once dangerous ruins was merely a minor distraction at best considering the level of ability she wielded since the fall of the previous immortal family.
However, unlike her companions, Bella had access to her special pistol. While the others had a far deeper attachment to the world they hail from, she was not against the thought of leaving to visit various universes. She has yet to divulge any information regarding her visits past those of her homeworld and this one, due to the condition of "spoilers". It's hinted that she has been visiting other universes for quite some time as a form of vacationing and curiosity fulfillment, rarely meddling in worldly affairs unless it suits her fancy, or if the world she is residing upon is in severe peril.
Present Time
Residing in the downtown area of Millennium City, Bella lives in an apartment in the downtown section of Millennium City with her daughter Lucija, of whom the father's identity is unknown however speculated they reside within Millennium City. She is to be considered a free agent for as long as she is housing her daughter, as per her request. Attempts to intervene are ill-advised and even distanced contact is to remain at a minimum. Contact with Lucija is strictly forbidden after a recent altercation which led to the temporary loss of several Meta-Level agents. It is probable that Lucija herself contains a semblance of power resembling that of her mother.
