Background Information

Personality


An egotistical, borderline narcissistic immoral, Immortal sociopath with delusions of grandeur, self-esteem issues, and generational trauma with a vicious sibling rivalry and parental issues cultivated by an extremely toxic worldview and societal pressures. She has no love for others or understands the concept of friendship for on Dirge such concepts do not exist. Merely who can you trust the most and who can offer you the most benefits without stabbing you in the back (sometimes literally). She is however getting better after spending so much time on Earth, though this is happening very slowly and entirely against her will.

Physical Characteristics


A rather short and petite girl, Dagmar is rather broad with a doll-like face and girlish proportions. Though quite human-like, Dagmar, like the rest of her kind, has blueish skin, elven ears, and dark hair that only whitens with stress or by consequences of magic. Also like the rest of her kind, her hands are clawed with only two digits and a thumb that is slightly darker in coloration when compared to the rest of the skin. Her eyes are a vivid pink that glows brightly when using a substantial amount of her powers and dimly while in low light or darkness. Dagmar has recently begun to explore her sense of style, having worn her stuffy coat since her banishment from Dirge; she can be seen in a myriad of styles and combinations but primarily wears dull, neutral, or desaturated colors, with the most prominent being black. While normally seen with shoulder-length hair, she often alters the length and style using her shapeshifting abilities.


Story Thus Far

Early Life


Born as the 6th child of seven children and the 6th prodigy born of house Hexstrom on the dark plane of Dirge, Dagmar was never shown much love or attention growing up, for what is love on Dirge than contractual agreements and obligations, and what good is a prodigy if everyone else is one as well. Though blessed by both of her parents at birth, it was apparent that her rather chaotic nature and destructive tendencies would be a rather poor look for the house; so instead of being promised some title of worth or a seat at the magistrate, Dagmar was instead given the rudimentary teachings of House Hexstrom to facilitate her role as another nameless noble birthing precautionary heirs. This never sat with either Dagmar or her brother Caliburn whom she was always compared to (as he was to suffer a similar fate; he could never measure up to the raw might of his elders). As a result and to compensate the duo often cause chaos, mayhem, and mischief to get any type of attention and more importantly, make a name for themselves and infamy to their noble house.


Siege of Evasta and Banishment


Four years ago in late autumn Caliburn and Dagmar, having fed up with being in everyone's shadow decided to do something about it and devised an insidious plan that would not only secure their futures in their house; but also secure their prosperity and future protection; for Hexstrom had one prominent enemy in house Duquette. Duquette a rival house in both honor and prestige was a long-time enemy of Hexstrom and located in the citystate of Evasta in the neighboring country of Bas; from which they would regularly send troops and fodder to harass Ilfor. Caliburn and Dagmar would practice in secret as they cultivated their magic and raid flesh pit after flesh pit, as they attune themselves to the netheric energies of their dark home realm via a dangerous and forbidden ritual. This act would boost their powers to a level unseen in modern times. The duo would soon set off and arrive at Evasta mid-winter with a massive horde of ravenous corpses and proceeded to lay siege. Evasta amid a famine (thanks to the inner workings of Caliburn's toxic magic) was nowhere near prepared for this sudden massive invasion, and in turn, was easily breached and capital razed. Seeing this as a victory Caliburn wanted to leave, saying this defeat will blacken their name for all time; but Dagmar contested in that this open and brazen act of aggression will not go unnoticed and that Duquette will certainly seek reprisal. Dagmar was convinced they needed to see this threw and end every life in the city-state, saying such an action would make them legends. Caliburn in turn decided that if she was to do this she would do it alone and soon departed with his sister cursing his name for his cowardice. Dagmar empowered by the forces of Dirge would see her action through; and in the cold light of day, Evasta was now silent with every resident slaughtered, and all members of house Duquette whether man, woman, or child were on display for all to see; impaled on a forest of spikes. Having relished this event and her new sense of superiority, Dagmar in her reckless indignation would go off and would broadcast her "achievement" for the world over. When she finally returned home she was met with rage and horror, instead of the praise and accolades she was expecting and in her mind rightfully deserved. But Dagmar in all of her foolishness should have heeded her brother, for her actions were thought to have angered Duquette's Shadim lord and would have surely smitten them in retaliation or worse caused a conflict with their own Shadim lord, and Duquettes'. For this Dagmar should have been swiftly executed; if it wasn't for her mother Circe blessing her with immortality at the moment of her birth. Instead, she was branded with treachery and marked with shackles that would feed and seal off her ever-growing magic, then unceremoniously banished to Earth, a fate she bemoaned as it felt as if she was the only one being punished when Caliburn assisted her in sieging Evasta. But her plea fell on deaf ears as Caliburn forwarned them of what she planned to do on his trip back to Ilfor. With that, Dagmar fell through a portal kicking a screaming until she landed in a frozen forest. She would wander the woodlands for a few days looking for some kind of civilization as her irritation grew and festered until she took it all out on a passenger plane that flew overhead.

White Out

Dagmar stood on a short ledge overlooking a horde of zombies, those who perished in the plane she brought down and the survivors unlucky enough to have survived to begin with. They were trying to break into a barrier that protected the entrance of a cave. She would however hear the crunch of snow underfoot coming from above her, that and the twin heartbeats of the living. With a glance from her side-eye, she would see two strangers hiding above her, with one scoping her down with a rifle. Using her psionics Dagmar would force the duo off their perch and come crashing down before her. The would-be heroes Maxus and Rose Daegus, cowering before her would then be "coerced" into assisting her with a task. The trio would then enter the cave after the zombies broke the barrier and after combating minor demons and zombies that had not been raised by Dagmar; they would come face to face with a lich who was tasked to guard an artifact known as the "Cube of Necrull"; the lich's employer being non-other than Caliburn, Dagmar's now estranged brother. A lengthy fight would ensue in the caverns and Dagmar would leave amid the battle clutching the cube all while causing a cave-in. Stating that these tools have served their purpose. She would however be dismayed when Rose would manage to climb out of the wreckage after Maxus released a large blast and thus creating a sizeable opening in the collapsing roof. During the interim of this, a blizzard would begin to blow causing Dagmar and later the duo to find shelter at Steelhead; here she would run into a wounded Lucius, an old friend and cambion who would often get in mischief with her. After a spat with Maxus and Rose for trying to kill them (something she completely hand-waved and brushed off), she would be "coerced" by a veteran hero by the name of Frostbyte into assisting the group with a problem with their communication relays far to the north. Upon traveling to the first relay, they were, met by another young hero who was already familiar with her new "allies". While there they dealt with ARGENT and the local wildlife, all would be relatively well, snarky comments aside, until they began to find strange eviscerated bodies of animals, UNTIL soldiers, and strangely ARGENT alike; not long after that they came across a containment area holding a few UNTIL soldiers. One, a lieutenant standing out because another one of him appeared from out of the haze of the blizzard to taunt the group before shedding its disguise and revealing its true form, and instigating an ambush that was quelled with relative ease. Their victory however was short-lived as the group had to take shelter in a bunker due to the blizzard now hitting them up north. Upon entering the cold chambers the group would be met with minute darkness and an eerie silence. This would quickly change when upon entering the antechamber preceding the main lab they were met with the sight of corpses, slain scientists, and for Dagmar the tantalizing smell of fresh blood and fresh bodies prime for harvesting. Following the gizzly sight the group was met by some scientists; survivors of an ambush beset by strange shapeshifting creatures, all wishing to be escorted to the main bunker that housed much of the soilders and more important personel. Dagmar however would incinerate one of the surviving scientist much to the shock of everyone in the room. Her actions would be soon justified, because the now burning scientist would quickly begin to melt into a viscous puddle of black sludge before evaporating in the air. Her reasoning being the creature she just killed wore the face of a dead man she noticed when looking over the bodies as the group walked through the bunker's halls.
